Please let me know if you have upgrades to any players posted and also if there are any comments or concerns.

My only comment is that players like Tom E. Smith don’t automatically show up because OOTP does not put in the period after the middle initial. Same for Jr. or Sr.. Not a big deal, just takes a couple steps for each one to get them in the game.

I'll have him updated to his current name status on Baseball-Reference for my next update. It's been some effort keeping up with their many changes, some I've accepted and some I haven't. I've been particularly irked by their removal of many players' traditional nicknames.

Thanks for your remarkable diligence in providing all these updates. Please clarify the presence of Tuffy Smith in your list. I can find no evidence of the existence of such a player including within your latest release of the facepack. I suspect you meant to write Tuffy Stewart.

Sorry to be pedantic but is it possible you can provide further information in respect of those players you list as ID correction. Does this mean that the image was previously misnamed as a different player, or alternatively that you have made a name change for the same player to conform with new baseball reference current naming practices, or a correction for a different reason.

Is it possible for you to post the team photo you used in respect of the Rudy Baerwald image.

Yes I absolutely did mean "Tuffy Stewart"...not sure what happened there but he is correctly presented in the Photopack.
As to the notations for "ID Correction" it stems from research done that has proven the player previously depicted under that name in previous Photopack editions was not the correct person. I have corrected them for the current edition to accurately depict the proper players in question. For example: the 1915 Baltimore Terrapins team photo came without identifications and my first attempt to decipher who was who resulted in some errors.

Also, I just noticed George Hogreiver is in there twice. Please delete the one labeled "George Hogriever" since his name misspelling is what caused the issue. I have decided to use his image from the 1895 Cincinnati Reds team photo.

To address the burgeoning AI usage, I've decided to make its usage sparing. There are times when either enhancement or colorization are useful and appropriate and they will be included as such. I've played around with Gemini and other AI tools and found that it alters player features too much for my comfort.

I agree that there is a tendency for AI to change player's features and it would be prudent to delay AI improvements into the facepack until AI's development matures as it surely will.

Would it be possible to clarify what you mean by correcting identifications, for example if Marcy McDonnell is the player previously referred to as McDoolan that would be helpful to specify the correcting by stating from whom to whom rather than leave us to guess. Alternatively if a player was previously unknown that would also be helpful. Recommending us to refer to the player info facility on Baseball Reference may also be useful.

I can absolutely clarify this for everyone going forward. Essentially these are in reference to players who nothing much was known about except for just a last name or their careers were merged with other players over the years.
