*** Updates ***

I’ve updated the players contracts who settled before arbitration deadline yesterday.

There are 22 or so players that remain that did not come to an agreement with team and set to head to arbitration. For now, in OOTP, for those 22 players I have set their 2024 salary to what the player is demanding vs team offered.

Plan is to still release by end of week. In this case I would anticipate by Sunday 1/14 or so.

You may have already saw this, but there appears to be two minor league players in the free agent pool who I am pretty sure should not be there. RP Henry Martinez (SD) and OF Henry Ramos (KC). Thanks again for all your work on this, looking forward to the next release!

Remember to set the AI to make decisions for CPU teams after you select your team, AND before you advance a day.

They were turned off. Go into settings and turn them back on.

Yes I have them turned off once I have calibrated rosters and hire back team scouts. As above notes you can turn them back on

Even after assuming GM/Mgr of my team, the AI is still making moves on my team's behalf. Where do I toggle this beyond "Act as"?

I wanted to ask about the lefty/righty breakdown when playing a game out. Is this a setting or the way you wanted to set it up?

Yes there is a setting under if you want AI lineups to be “traditional ” vs sabermetrics/splits based. I have mine on default since teams employ platoons I don’t have game open, but it’s under one of the game settings tabs.

One of the game settings says “enable all ai teams to make moves”. Just find it and enable. When calibrated rosters I have to turn those off in order to ensure the AI doesn’t sign free agents etc when advancing days.

I clicked "set all computer teams to allow AI roster changes," but there is no counterparty GM's response when I try to initiate a trade. (Screenshot attached) Please help!

I have it on “hard mode” for trades.

If you go under game settings, then AI settings, then a check box for “Ise hard mode for trading”.

Using this setting you have to submit an offer and usually the opposing GM will get back to you the next day. Hope this helps!

Hope everyone is enjoying the roster set!

Once we get a few more of the remaining top free agents to sign in real life, I will plan another release (v3). I’ve also calibrated a few more players in general that may have been a bit too high (typically gap power) or too low in some areas.

Also - Baseball America released its official Top 100 list so I am calibrating some of those prospects in game as well.

Hi,

I noticed a couple settings were unusual/unexpected and not the default. Thought I would post here so people were aware and you could fix if not intended.

Game Settings -> League Settings -> Rules ->
- Reliver Minimum Batters Faced (set to 1, should be 3)
- Modified Extra Innings (set to All, should be Spring + Regular Season or maybe just Regular Season)

I noticed only once in the playoffs of my 3rd season, the first time there was an extra innings game that I had a ghost runner!

off topic - I think my new favorite player might be Ethan Salas, check out this WAR by Age in his first 3 seasons:
2024 age 18: 2.6
2025 age 19: 1.9
2026 age 20: 5.7

Pretty insane for a catcher! His catcher defense is up to 85 (on 100 pt scale)

Hey gang!

Next update I will have the league file set to beginning of preseason which is around 1/30 in game. It will include all recent trades and free agent signings as of release date.

- Beltre, Helton, Mauer selected to the HOF on 1/23

- Since I’ve already created and assigned at least the top 50 International free agents I’ve skipped over the OOTP creation of more and just deleted those created fake players.

- Real MLB schedule loaded for 2024 season!

- Spring training is set to 5 weeks. If you do not want spring training you can still turn it off at this point.

- All star game set to Texas Rangers

- A few prospects/others with updated ratings

I would anticipate a release for early next week (around 1/30). Let’s hope by then we have many more free agent signings to gear up for real life Spring Training!
