CBL can you help me having an issue

I got everything setup and I set myself to act as the Mets guy. Then i looked at the settings and it has me making all decisions for the team. but yet someone keeps signing FA for my team without me doing it

What setting do I have wrong?

Are you "acting as" or actually taking the job?

Here is a screenshot of the window that pops up when you choose to "act as" a team.

You should only use "act as" if you are wanting to make a specific transaction for a team (i.e. sign a player or force a trade). You should not use this option for day-to-day operation of the team.

Well I am having many isseus with the file.I load the file in and first thing I do is set all CPU teams to NOT allow AI roster changes. Then I sim to spring training and still Snell is signing, Montgomery.

How do i stop that besides what I did

What specific action did you take to not allow AI roster changes?

I just loaded the game and took these actions:

1.) Under League Settings --> Functions ... Clicked the Roster Function titled "Set All Teams To Not Allow AI Roster Changes"

2.) Simulated to Opening Day.

I am seeing all of the expected Free Agents still in that list.

Thank you , Got it, I think it was reverting back to a save from a week or two ago and I did not realize it

*** IMPORTANT STEPS !!! ***

- After you select your team, you will need to go to team settings, enable CPU AI to make changes. It is currently set to off so I could update rosters.

I noticed that Miller Hogan's stats for 2023 are incorrectly listed as being in the MLB when they were actually in AA. Makes his demanded salary somewhat inflated.

yo, i don't wanna be that guy, but did you go into each team's settings (not just your own) and make this change? happened to me too and I was like oh duh oops lol

Here’s hoping we see the Boras clients and the rest sign soon (???)….

I’ve updated some player ratings, injuries, free agent signings etc.

I have version 3 but I tried to keep up with changes manually. I wanted to check this out!

I have a game just up on YouTube using CBLCardinals rosters and ratings. The KC Royals spring group 27 and over face the KC 26 and under. Rosters as of this morning or 2/20/24. I played it at Kauffman with my own custom cam angles and custom sounds along with the signage via micropetrus.

No I have not specifically reviewed everyone on this.

Ballpark looks like most are close

OK thanks. Roster Resource, Cots and BR have updated ST, so it wouldn't be too big of a time sink to update them manually on my end

Estimating this weekend - usually Sundays have worked best.

Welcome to OOTP!

Once you download the rosters and unzip, place the file name with the .lg ending in your saved games folder.

From there you should be able to access it from the OOTP main menu.
Check some of my earlier posts about next steps for league set up once you get the file loaded in OOTP.

Ok gang here it is - version v4 of the Spring Training rosters!

Rosters/transactions updates as of today.

Injuries should be accurate as of ESPN. Remember the current league file is still at a point in preseason you can either run Spring Training, or turn it off.
