Another pbp error, this one on an inning-ending fly out:
The stretch, the pitch... swung on... hit in the air to center... and [Center Fielder] gloves it... two outs. That retires the side...

It has been logged in the bug report database. Markus will look at it eventually (when, is anyone's guess).

Were league files requested on this issue? If they weren't, they should have been, and if you haven't, please upload your zipped .dat files for that league as it exists before the problem occurs.

endgame, thanks for the reply. I just uploaded the dat files from my league, the file name is art_newmlb.zip.
As noted in the trouble ticket, these are the dat files as of December 31, 2027 in my game. My problem is that I cannot save the game if I turn the calendar forward to January 1. Thanks again. |

PBP error:
(Start of top of the ninth inning, with visiting team (Detroit Wolverines) trailing.) [Batter] hopes to kick-start a rally... for the Wolverines... here in the top of the ninth... he's gone 1 for 3 at the plate. [Pitcher] throwing to [Batter]... here it is... [Batter] swings... stroked to left -- a base hit for [Batter]. And the Detroit will not go down... without a fight. (needs to either be 'Detroit' or 'the Wolverines.')

I cant save my game. It shows up in the save files, and it lets me click save game, but when I load after advancing a few days, it just comes up the most current day I was at.

A particularly egregious instance of the earned run bug:
Two out, nobody on. Batter #1 hits a triple. Batter #2 hits a single. There can be no more straightforward instance of a run being earned. Yet this run was scored as unearned. Why? Because the outfielder flubbed the pickup, allowing Batter #2 to go from first to second. What this tells me is that the game engine, at the end of the play, adds up the number of errors and the number of outs, and if it gets to three all runs that scored on that play and on any subsequent play are going to be unearned. To put it mildly, that's not how it works in real life, and it leads to ridiculous situations like this one, where a triple followed by a single somehow constitutes an unearned run.

Scoring bug:
Leadoff hitter doubles. Pitcher bunts, and third baseman throws to first. Now that makes the play a successful sacrifice, and no time at bat should be charged. But the third baseman's throw was wild, and the runner scored. Because the throw was wild, the pitcher was charged with a time at bat. Then he got an RBI when the runner scored on the wild throw. Two scoring errors on the same play.

I looked through the thread and didn't see these issues, so I'll post them here. Both have to do with the PBP.
First, while playing an MLB quickstart (several years into the future), I noticed that some of my players were described as having the wrong batting average in the PBP. I wasn't sure why that was, but then I had a player who had only been in the majors for a week or two come up to bat. It had his average wrong, and it also said that he's hit 11 HR this year. I checked his minor league stats, and sure enough, he had 11 HR in the minor leagues. I assume, therefore, the reason for the inaccurate batting average is that it is combining major/minor league stats (and yes, the BA it mentioned was in between his major and minor league averages). I'm not sure if this is intentional, but that would be an odd thing to say in play by play without specifically stating that it included minor league stats. The second item is that I am playing the Twins and I traded for Evan Longoria in the middle of the season. When I played the Rays later in the year, the PBP said that he had hit 9 HRs against the Rays. I checked and he hadn't hit any against the Rays, but he had hit 9 HRs before the trade while he was playing for the Rays. |

Game stop working..
Hello to everyone...First time yesterday my game (Quickstart MLB- 6mths into the season) and the game crashed...In my "home" page screen what ever i try to click (a players name or to continue a day) the game stops and this message appears :
Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: ootp13.exe Application Version: 13.3.9.0 Application Timestamp: 4f99241c Fault Module Name: ootp13.exe Fault Module Version: 13.3.9.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 4f99241c Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 00540a4e OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.768.3 Locale ID: 1032 Additional Information 1: 0a9e Additional Information 2: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 Additional Information 3: 0a9e Additional Information 4: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 what i should notice is that i had a power failure while i was closing my pc half an hour before this appeared...But OOTP was closed so i do not see any connection... I play each game and i would like to continue this dynasty but seems seriously corrupted...Any ideas please ??? Another saved game (historical) seems to be working fine, though i did not had the time to test it thoroughly... Thanks.

Pitcher exhausted after one pitch
I couldn't find this bug being reported so I thought I would report it. In all my playoff games, all my starting pitchers are exhausted after the first pitch. In my two pitchers I have attached as examples, both pitchers started out as:
pitcher 1 = 100% energy pitcher 2 = 88% energy You can see that they have thrown only two and one pitches, respectively and are exhausted. Please fix. Thanks a bunch for a great game! |

I don't see that as the answer, pstrickert. One. This doesn't happen in the regular season and hasn't until my playoffs. Two. My pitchers start at 100% for first example picture and 88% and after two pitches, and one pitch respectively, both pitchers are listed as exhausted. This is not quality feedback about my pitcher and must be a bug.
