[QUOTE=silvam14;4606891]Did you redownload the file?
Yeah, and I also tried some others on the list like National League park--the same thing keeps happening. I might give up in a bit here but just for clarity to make sure I'm not messing this up... * I'm downloading the zip file and extracting it to the ballparks folder * Then I go on to OOTP and download the .prk file * Then I click "load 3D model" and find the obj. file. |

RoyalPudding, check your camera. It looks like the background for night games is showing. I had this happen when I loaded some stadiums for the first time in OOTP21. The camera was at 1st base line for me. Plus it was upside down if you use the middle mouse button to zoom. You may need to modify camera angles.

Are you putting the ballpark folder that you dl and unzipped in the ballparks\models folder? maybe you are but it looked like from what you said your putting it in the ballpark folder. Do you mean you are in the edit stadium window and on the park profile you then click on action , manually import data from this file into park..from there you need to look in folder of the ballpark you want to import , that folder is in the ballparks\models folder

Thanks, but yes--tried all of those things.
I got a different 3D Ballpark to work. For some reason when I download one of the parks from this specific thread, the textures are not in their correct folder. And when I upload the model, I just get a black 3D model of the field. I seem to be the only one having this issue with Silvam14's models, so I'm pretty confused/frustrated. |

Here's what I always do to import silvam's parks into my game, step by step. He usually puts them in .RAR files, so I'm gonna go from when I initially download that RAR file. (For the record, I use Windows 10 and 7Zip, a free program, to unzip .RAR files, so I'm not sure how it works with a program like WinRAR)
Based on your experience, I would delete all of the folder(s) you already have for this specific park that are already in your models folder and redownloading the RAR file before starting this. For this exercise, I'm using the park you're currently having trouble with. 1. Open the .RAR file you've just downloaded in 7Zip. Upon initially opening the file, you will see one folder for the park. This is the folder you import into the game. 2. Drag the folder from 7Zip into your ballpark models folder. You will have one single folder in there for the park. When you open this folder from the models folder, it should like like the attached picture. 3. Go into your OOTP save and find the stadium you want to edit to have become that stadium. 4. Go to the 3D model section, and click Load 3D model. Navigate to the park you want to put in, select the .obj file, and it should show up. I got the model to show up correctly using this method. Hopefully this helps.

Thanks so much!! I realized the issue. For whatever reason, my Winrar wasn't letting me see the folder like that. So I thought that I had to extract the files to ballparks/models. In that extraction process, the templates fell out of the folder, basically.
I downloaded 7-zip and it came up as a folder like you said. I have the field now! Sorry for all the trouble. Also thanks to Silvam14 who made so many great ballparks that I felt it was genuinely worth 2 days of my time to figure this out. |

New backgrounds
I have found a half way decent way to make 360 degree backgrounds for Silvam's great updates for OOTP21. I am doing historic first. I am no doing any that you can't see the backgrounds, e.g. coliseums, enclosed domes, etc.etc.
These are the ones I am uploading today: American_League_Park_I_1901-1903_v1_4 American_League_Park_II_1904-1910_v1_4 Angel_Stadium_1966-1978_v1_4 Buffalo_Soldiers_Field_v1_4 Civic_Stadium_v1_4. These are far from perfect but the best I can do, so far, with Setchup. I have used Google Earth to make the backgrounds. I have yet to find satellite photos for any historic parks, current backgrounds will have to do. You may also note as you scan around the park that there are some repeats and stretch/smear areas. That is what happens when making panoramic back grounds in Sketchup. I have not found a way to keep that from happening. I also have not been able to find a way to make the parks look like they are on ground level, yet. In my opinion, these backgrounds are better than sky boxes. But is some of his historic parks may have sky boxes I may just leave them alone. Making these backgrounds is tedious and time consuming. So, I will post more as I get them done. I have added these as an addition to Silvam's parks. So mine will have newer dates. If you don't want to overwrite his. just change the file name on mine, e.g. add 'new" to the end, before you copy it to your Models folder. I am open to any feedback or suggestions, positive or negative. In case you are wondering, Buffalo Soldiers Field is what I use for my PT teams. Question. Using the 1976 Fenway Park. The lights at night are blacked out. I don't think that's normal. What's wrong?

Are all listed parks compatible for OOTP 18 through 20-related dynasties, et cetera? Just curious, that's all. Please let us know. Thank you. CD out.

Ping Silvam
Silvam,
Thanks for work on the stadiums. I recently downloaded your fictional stadiums from the workshop. Quick question. It seems that in all the stadiums the pitchers feet are slightly under the mound. Do you know of any tweak I can make to correct that? I messed around a bit with cameras but I don't think it's a camera thing. By the way the stadiums are awesome for my fictional league! Thanks,
