Had this just happen:

In a National League game, pitcher strikes out a guy to end the inning but gets hurt on the pitch and "has to be taken out." The pitcher was batting third the next inning, and sure enough...his replacement P is in that slot coming up to the plate with two outs.

The AI should have either done a double switch (not really though), or better yet waited to put in a P and just had a guy or two warming up in the bullpen.

Rare situation, but it's costing the AI team here...

Edit: He just hit into a double play :/

I get this error when I try to start a new Game of anytype: "Could not create game folder!"
I had one of my harddrives recently malfunction, so I've uninstalled OOTP off that harddrive and reinstalled it onto a new harddrive. Installation went smoothly and I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling. I didn't attempt to copy and paste any of these files. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit Ballpark minor issue

I found found what I would consider to be a minor CR (change request).

When I am editing ballparks, I must hit enter to have the new value be committed, but when I do that for the fields of AVG LHB, AVG RHB, Home Runs LHB and Home Runs RHB it forces me to tab back down through all the fields to get to the field I want. When I edit the Doubles or Triples field and hit enter the cursor stays on the field but does commit the value so the user does not have to tab back through many fields.

Small matter mainly just having the cursor reset to the top instead of staying on the field just edited after Enter is pressed.

This happens if I am editing or if I am adding a new ballpark.

Hi, this is Gary from tech support. If you'll submit a ticket (click the link in my sig) on this, I'll try to help you.

In the ticket, let me know if you did a default install and if so, check out the documents folder and tell me what you see inside of the following folder: "Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 13\saved_games". Is there anything in the saved_games folder at all? If not, see if you can copy some folder (any folder) into that location. Do you get an error if you try to do so? Also let me know what Windows version you're using (assuming you're not on a Mac or linux?). Let me know in the ticket what you find out.

If you have the league files, please send them to Markus.

The developer tested your file. He said it works fine with the next patch so the problem, whatever it was, must be fixed.

Mistake creating historical league

This is just something that is more a picture (or three) says more than a 1000 words, however

Creating a new historical game this came up strangly.

A have as seen the Majors and AAA, AA.
After finished with the Majors settings (actually the thing to get the bug) on the tab Historical settings.

Then I clicked on the Triple A down on the left lower ALL included league.
Looking at the screen to the right surprised me. The historical settings should not be on at all for minors, correct.
It´s not in the header thats correct.

But as you can see now I can indeed start changing Historical settings (actually for God knows what league, surely not AAA)
Same thing with Double A.

The correct right side should be showing Structure editing.

It´s a cosmetic error/bug but it could be danger since one can actually start to edit that right side. Then what are you doing ????

I fixed it. It was a permissions problem. I went into the folder security options and clicked Allow for the Users group. Not sure why that wasn't automatically checked, but I'm sure the problem is on my end.

Sac Bunt and reaching on error is scored as an at bat

A sacrifice bunt and an error is recorded an at bat is scored against the bunter. It should not be.

I've found a bug.

I'm trying fictional for the first time, and have downloaded and installed the newly available full set of fictional OOTP logos, jerseys, and caps from The Nickname Project (http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...logo-sets.html). When I create a fictional league the matching generic team logos and ballcaps are automatically found and installed for each generic team nickname but the jerseys are not. You have to go and load each jersey manually. Hitting "find" does not work, either. In other words, for the a team randomly nicknamed the 49ers, on game creation the game will find and load the logo file "49ers_016d39_a7a076" and the ballcap file "cap_49ers" but it will neither find nor load "jerseys_49ers."

This is clearly a bug, and one which has come to like courtesy of The Nickname Project making generic matching sets of logos, caps, and jerseys readily available for the first time. Please fix it. Thank you.

I should point out that Project cap and jersey files come stock with a double underscore, __, rather than a single underscore, _. (A jersey file will be jersey__49ers, not jersey_49ers as it should be.) I don't know why this is.

This means that you have to convert them to single underscore before the game can read them. I used the (free) Bulk Rename Utility to do this.

Wolf, someone had mentioned that 13 uses the double underscore and that previous version used a single. So you saying that 13 still users the single vs double?
I don't have my TUP Vol I & II in the OOTP folders for that reason.

Two things I have noticed: 1. When the stats come up when someone is at bat (in play by play box) the #s are the full season #'s combined at all levels not just at the ML level.

2. On the Team Schedule page when a double header is played both scores link back to the 2nd game of the DH. At the top of the screen where it shows the current 3 or 4 days of activity that is correct but the MONTH view only links to the 2nd Game's Boxscore.

Cecil, reports have been filed already for these bugs. But thanks for reporting them. Markus has sifted through about 100 bug reports (roughly speaking) so far. Which is about 1/4 of the total number. And he hasn't tackled these yet.

For some reason the AI seems to be adding some players to the 40 man roster after they're drafted for no reason. Even high school players that are nowhere near close to ready. Then 3 years down the line the player's options are up and they're still nowhere near ready, and the AI is forced to either him or stick him on the big league roster, even though he currently only has single A talent.

This is crippling AI teams, robbing them of some of their best prospects.

One more pet peeve with the AI that seems like it'd be easy to fix. The AI automatically has the best bench player be a defensive replacement for weak defense starters, even when the bench player is WORSE defensively than the starter. They even do this even if there's a defensive stud behind both of them on the depth chart.

The AI should check for that and make defensive replacement decisions based on defense only.

Came across a news story in my e-mail about a minor leaguer who had a 20-game hitting streak. Except he really only has a 7-game streak.

Go ahead and upload your league files: How to FTP files to OOTP Developments - Kayako eSupport Help Desk Software

Let me know the name of your .zip file and I'll refer to it in the bug report.

BTW, he didn't switch teams or get promoted/demoted, did he?
