There seems to be a few things with WAR that are messed up. There's still the issue with the current season's WAR being displayed when last year, previous year and career is selected from the Split menu. I understand that you can't display WAR for any of the other splits, but I would think it should be possible to display it for those three options since they show up on player cards.

In my game, Denard Span was traded from the Twins to the Brewers. The email was message 1271, and in the second paragraph, it said:
Span is hitting at a .269 mark this season. His stats show 2 home runs, 42 RBIs and 47 runs scores. He has played 83 games for the Brewers. So the error is that it has the wrong one of the teams listed as the team he has been playing for. |

I am seeing a difference in the PBP since the latest patch. Players who have played part of the year in the minors are having those stats averaged in with their major league stats whenever the PBP announcer mentions that players stats during a game. The correct stats show up on the player card to the left of the game screen.
This is not a show stopper obviously but it is a minor irritation. |

Well, there are too many minor annoyances that add up to a show stopper.

This is after applying the latest patch and in an on-line league. I am seeing a player in arbitration but on the team salary page it shows him making the league minimum the following season and being arb eligible the year after that.......see Luis Batista in these 3 screen captures. We are heading to Arbitration in 2064. On Batista's 'Contract & Status' page it says is is arb eligible ($2.8mil est), on the 'Salary Arbitration' page I have the opportunity to offer him arbitration, but on the 'Team Salary' page it shows him making the League Minimum ($300,000) in the upcoming season and not eligible for Arb until the following season.
![]() ![]() ![]() Edit: This is the same for ALL arbitration eligible players Edit 2: Correction, it appears to apply to all players making the minimum. Thomas Lopez is arb eligible but is making above the league min. He is the only Arb Eligible player showing as such on the Team Salary page Last edited by byzeil; 07-18-2012 at 12:28 PM. |

Contracts being allowed to under age players
In my league, the minimum age is 18 to be able to eligible. The settings for the Parent ML obviously are the default as stated for the AAA, AA and A levels.
The game is generating 16 and 17 year olds as free agents. They do not show up in the ML level free agent list, but they do show up in the free agent list when you switch to any level of minor leagues and click Free Agents on the League Menu. If you click the Action menu on the bottom of one of those under age players, the option to offer contract does not show up. However, if you click on the player's Contract And Status button, under Contract Information, it shows him as a free agent and the button is available to Offer Contract. Is this a bug or is there anything I can do to prevent teams in my on-line league from being able to sign these under age players? Thanks the for the help and consideration! PT

Disregard. Figured out the setting involved.

Personnel Contract Extensions
I am having an issue with personnel contract extensions. When I offer a person of the staff a contract extension, it simply does not register with the game and it seems as if no extension was ever offered to that staff member (coaches, hitting coaches etc....). I have uninstalled the game and reinstalled it. It worked for couple days but the issue occurred again.

Roster Expansion bug and Crash
There is still a serious bug that occurs with the Roster Expansion during the season, which is related to an illegal number of players on minor league teams (mostly rookie league it seems).
Regrettably, I had to stop and save my game during the first game of the expanded roster part of the schedule. So now, I can’t even access the League-setup to do the “work-around” (allow for ghost players). The game crashes every time I try to play past this day. I used the historical start, with natural league development, full minor league system (that has fictional players.) -Cal |

I've only seen it crash when the starting pitcher enters the lineup after the DH switches to a position. But it happens every time. |

Help! Roster moves not automatic after install of patch Version 13.4.17
Hi OOTP13 community,
I usually don't post in the forum because I try to spend all my free time simming the game. Now, I'm coming for help. My "Team Control Settings" are the following: Lineups: Me Roster moves: Computer Transactions: Me Minor Leagues: Computer Trades: Me After I updated the last patch, roster moves are still checked to be controlled by the computer but it's not happening. Before, I used to sign players and they would automatically be placed on my major league roster. Now, I have to make my way to the Waivers and DFA transaction screen and manually place my players. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. My apologies for posting this in the General Discussions section. I just found this thread for bug reporting. |

AI reporting of minor league contract signings
Sometimes when an AI team signs a free agent to a minor league contract, it appears in the player's history (and I think the transaction logs) as though the lowest minor league affiliate signed the player, rather than the parent club. The parent club should be the team listed in the player's history as that's the team that actually signed the player.
This doesn't seem to happen 100% the time, but I've seen it quite frequently in my fictional league. It does not appear to occur with players discovered by scouts. |

Every time I try to start a historical league the game crashes when 10% through importing the players.
I tried to submit a support ticket, but it won't let me do it without my email. However, when I try to login it says it is an invalid email. When I try to get my password, no matter what e-mail I type in (I've tried all the different emails I've ever used) it says it is an invalid email. |

WAR bug
This is a WAR bug that I reported shortly after OOTP13 was released that looks like it still persists through the latest patch.
The career leaderboards do not accurately calculate WAR. Instead, they just take the hitting portion of WAR from VORP- e.g. 1/10th of VORP. So the career leaderboards for WAR appear to be exactly the same as the leaderboards for VORP, which is not really the case. Here's the career leaderboards for VORP and WAR from a 2012 MLB quickstart, as well as the league's "actual" WAR leaders. This is a bit of a pain if you look at career WAR for HOF inductions. edit: oops, just realized this was re-reported on the previous page of this thread. But glad to see I'm not the only one that this is bugging! Last edited by jaa36; 07-24-2012 at 12:19 AM. |

lefthanded infielders
and another minor annoyance- lefthanded throwers that end up with infield ratings. Perhaps lefthanded throwers could never end up with sufficient infield range or error ratings that they end up developing a rating at second, third, or short?
