It can be tough to rate someone who you never saw or have any knowledge of. Looking through his record, Veranis appears to have beaten a string of quite unimpressive fighters and to have quit when he met resistance. Do you have any suggestions for a rating? Thanks, Christopher

EMIL UMEK HW (1965-1966) Overall Rating = 1
Hometown - Frankfurt, Germany 7(1)-8-0 The German born Umek fought for almost two years on the U.S. west coast. After dropping his first three bouts, he won a ten round decision over Bowie Adams who was 17-0-1 at the time of their meeting. Besides Adams, Umek's only victories came against rather inexperienced fighters. He was stopped by Joey Orbillo and Steve Grant and lost a ten round decision to LHW Eddie Cotton. Stopped a total of three times.

TOBY TYLER MW (1982-1986, 1990, 2003) Overall Rating = 1
Hometown - St. Paul, Minnesota, USA 7(5)-7-2 Tyler Fought as a Middleweight from 1982 to 1986 losing to Harold Brazier and dropping a bout for the Mid West Regional belt to Krzysztof Golanski. He came back briefly in 1990 to be stopped by James Toney and score a KO win over the well traveled Jerry Strickland. After a 13 year lay-off, he took a bout against cruiserweight Marty Lindquist at the age of 45 in 2003. The first roud TKO loss seems to have sent Toby into retirement for good. Overall, he was stopped six times.
