I'm going to change up the format at least for this season since it's a lost cause.

I'm going to switch to monthly updates instead of every series. Feel free to ask if there's anything you guys want to see.

The Astros finish arbitration with the arbitrator only siding with one player, C Jason Castro.

The Astros had to pay $18,000,000 to release Feldman, but after trying to trade him for anything all season long, it was worth it to not have him around any more.

Astros Sign SP Jake Peavy

Peavy signs a 3 year, $21 million deal. Peavy missed most of last season but pitched in 6 games going 3-1 with a 3.75 ERA while walking 6 and striking out 34.

The former Cy-Young award winner and 3 time MLB All-Star is expected to be the opening day starter for the Astros.

I understand releasing of Feldman... Honestly, what were they thinking?... but why Fowler? Did he not have any value?

It's going to be a lot of fun the next few seasons. I hope to have one more big surprise this offseason and then I'll be ready to go.

I have no idea, Feldman had an ERA over 7 in AAA after I sent him down early this season.

Fowler had value but he was arbitration eligible and I've got Aplin to take his spot in center and a few guys that can DH. I felt his money would be better spent on a SP and I was happy getting Peavy.

Astros Reach Into Cuba Again, Sign SP Salazar

5 years, $70 Million for a solid SP who has a chance to be in Houston for a long time.

Yeah, thank god I'm not paying either of them. I went to see what Liriano wanted a couple days before he signed and he wanted 31 mil a year. I said no thanks.
