Philadelphia Bobbies attempt

This did not work and I will try again I like the near-identical delivery poses but I tried to draw the lower resolution one and got totally lost. I'd have to start again I think, probably with the other picture. But I thought it would be fun to upload this anyway.

The Edith Houghton pictures are probably better - the one of her posing with the bat could make a good league logo

I put a hold on that book at the library, I will read it to my kid when it arrives, thank you.

That isn't that bad, certainly better than I could do! I think the way her head kind of morphs into the hat onto the left side is a bit odd looking but if you add hair over that it might look better? Aside from that I think it looks just great. I like how lanky you made her look because Leona was really lanky and apparently was 6 feet tall in real life!

Edith Houghton again

I keep finding more random pics of her while trying to find the names of the rest of the Bobbies players so here's some more.

Nellie Schank 1920s

FINALLY after days of searching I was able to match at least one name to one of the Bobbies that isn't known as much as Houghton or Kearns! She was swept by the wave that killed Leona Kearns but managed to grab onto a rail and survied.

missing players list?

Since tnfoto made a spreadsheet of major leaguers without any known photos (we call them 'missing players'), I have decided to begin creating one for 'missing' AAGPBL players since I noticed a few.

1915 All-American Girls/All American Ladies Base Ball Club

They were a barnstorming club led by Mae Arbaugh, who went by the name Carrie Nation. According to an old Cooperstown magazine I own from 2017, she apparently began her career in 1899 and played for the Boston Bloomer Girls in the past. She would have been 30 years old in this photo.

Starting in order from the top row down for the list of names with positions: Marie Dierl (?), Harriet 'Happy' Murphy (2B), Elizabeth 'Fargo' Pull (P), Marguerite Cunningham (?), Carrie Nation (1B), May Fay (RF), Anna McCann (?), Selma Walbaun (?), and Mable Bohl (C)

1915 All-American Girls/All American Ladies Base Ball Club close-ups

Slightly better views of their faces. I have to split this into 2 posts since it doesn't let you put more than 5 images in a singular one.

Harriet Murphy, Elizabeth Pull, Marguerite Cunningham, Carrie Nation, and Marie Dierl.
