They did surprisingly good, reaching the Serie del Rey as the #6 seed and beating #1 seed Monterrey twice in the process (there's a "best loser" rule in the first round of playoffs). They then proceded to get smashed and swept by Diablos del México in the final, with game 4 being played here in Guadalajara. I actually went to both game 3 and game 4, pretty fun experience but not the best baseball by our Charros on the field.

Small Draft pools in these early years to avoid bloat with so few guys retiring mans guys like him can go in R1 as was the case here. Had Rudy May been taken before our pick, Francisco Cordova was our designated Plan B.
