The Senators will take the field without tow of their standouts, Steve Bilko and Russ Christopher are out for 4 months with broken bones. Mickey McDermott (2-3, 3.89) is back from missing the most of last season with a ruptured disc.
Bob Feller and Warren Spahn both won 19 games last year. Duke Snider (30) and Eddie Mathews (22) are looking to hit more long ball.
