Cheer up Ads, you just finished the live missions for me!
I've got some jokers in my division called the Naperville Nomads . Looking forward to my team's 5 seconds of fame on Sunday!

While mulling over the dismal 0-6 start, management considered ways to shake up the clubhouse to change their fortunes. After perusing the waiver wire for a possible new addition to the team, a quality player at a reasonable price appeared; and management wasted no time in snatching him up. Joining the squad:
100 - Hooks Dauss (1915) Cecilio Guante will be sent to the reserves to make room on the roster, and Dauss will join the relief squad to bolster the Syrups bullpen. (slowly the team is starting to take on the appearance of the old timey themed squad )

and speaking of the 0-6 start.... a package showed up on my front porch today.... figured I'd pass a little more karma towards the Vermont Lake Monsters and picked up a new version of their alternate Maple Kings hat (aka the Waffletown Syrups) since I borrowed their logo.
guess the karma worked a bit, as Waffletown went on a 6 game winning streak as soon as I put on the hat

Cedar Rapids announces the signing of legend Pop Lloyd to the Reds organization. The Reds were initially excited about the acquisition of Quincy Trouppe, and Sammy Hughes moving the Infielder mission a little bit further along the way, but the highlight of the day has to be the arrival of Lloyd, a fine bounty from the 36 packs won/open today. Moving off the active roster is long time 3B Terry Pendleton as a spot needed to be found for Lloyd.

new addition. never used the "stopper" before, Campbell seems like a good reason to give it a try.

Nowhere is the Place to Be at the Start of OL B248
The Men swept their opening set to break first from the gate, but there is a crush of teams vying for the lead.

If you're dumb enough...
You can screw up a pretty damned good pack pull session.
I've decided that I want to keep my pack sessions in the 25 pack area, so I figured, since I was up a little early this morning, I'd rip the 27 I had, and the results were quite good, until I screwed it up. The good cards were only live, except for a duplicate Todd Worrell, but there were a decent amount of them, two live diamonds that would sell for above 4500, a couple of live golds, and a perfect Jacob Degrom, so a nice shot at maybe a 50K morning. Until I got involved. A whiIe ago, I made myself a rule to sell my live golds, diamonds and perfects before I check to see if any missions got completed, so I don't accidentally lock one to get a card I'm more than likely not to use. Of course, I decided I needed more coffee after the pulls were complete, and my son was up early so we chatted about the New York Rangers and what an unevolved human the Caps Tom Wilson is, and by the time I got back, I forgot and submitted a collection and cost myself about 4500 PP by locking in a Milwaukee Brewer pitcher with a last 10 of 4950. So much like me. Ah well, it still was a good pack session, despite it feeling oddly disappointing since there were no OL keepers. Last edited by Stanley Kuppchaser; 05-04-2021 at 06:27 AM. |

Welcome to the new game changer! Quote:
See Mark, all those years drinking coffee are finally catching up to you. Not only will it stunt your growth, it can also affect your PP! ![]() That 2nd cup can be a real "killer"!

Silver league:
OL games will be sparse with just three teams in three different divisions (and no crown).... Cedar Rapids and Waffletown will meet 7 times during the year, and I believe Cedar Rapids and Cary will play 4 games, so everyone will get a little something. Cary and Cedar Rapids are off to solid starts once again. Waffletown stumbled out of the gate to an 0-6 start but has rebounded nicely to sit tied atop their division. Cedar Raipds: 2-2 .500 Waffletown: 2-2 .500 Cary: 0-0 .000 |

I think it was showing around 260k last night, which is tempting since Cedar Rapids has the lowest PP balance of my 3 teams. He looks like he is a beast though, so going to at least try him out for a bit and will probably keep him. I'm at 42% and 46% between the pitcher and infielder missions for NLS.

Right?
I picked up some of the gold pitchers that were sitting at around 5k for some reason, when most things seem to be in the 15k-20k range. Other than that just pulling them and waiting. Texarkana pulled the Turkey Stearnes card, but sold him. Probably should've kept him as well.

With merchandise like that, I'm gonna have to become a Waffletown fan!

If you don't mind, where did you order it from? Also will they embroider the logo from a png sent on-line? Oh wait, I just re-read your post. It's actual team hat, isn't it? |

It's back
The "add as friend" option is back. Let's hope it works well. Adding my team logo, however, still did not take. I switched from one screen to another and it disappeared.

yeah, that is an actual hat from the MiLB store for the Vermont Lake Monsters (I try to throw some business their way since I use their logo)... however, there are sites that will apparently let you design your own hats/etc.... saw one pop up in my social media feed recently, but haven't looked into them.... search for "custom lids" and they should come up.... I did find a custom jersey site (with no minimum order), so I also recently ordered a navy/orange Waffletown jersey to mirror the new away jersey I made recently.... waiting for that to get here to see how it turned out

huzzah.... probably a good idea for everyone to do a once-over on their friend's list and make sure you have everyone covered in your tier and the tiers ahead/behind you (if possible to get them all)... especially important to get the new additions as well (Asheboro and Gem City at Rookie; Iron Maiden at Stone, Steve Kuffrey at Iron) |
