I am finally calmed down enough to enjoy the fact that we are up 1-0. Chaos pitching needs to get us one more.

After 2 months of chaos pitching I’m pretty calm about it actually.

The playoffs have been chaos pitching forever. If anything, it gets easier for the Tigers.

3 of the 4 teams left in the AL are from the Central.

The funny part is where the only AL Central team that finished over .500 last season didn't even make the playoffs this year. Poor Twinks.

To be fair, y'all did each get 13 shots at the White Sux, so that might have aided the Tigers and Royals in seeking WC spots in ways the Mariners (for example) didn't benefit.

Certainly justifying your slots thus far, though.

(I originally mistyped "sluts" above. Which would be an entirely different discussion, so good thing I caught that.)

I have such a broad arsenal of alternative names for the White Sox, it'd be enough to get banned three times over.

One of my favorite gameplay mechanics is to take the dead worst team in MLB, and take them and win the World Series. Then take the NEXT worst team, objectively.

For the Sox, prolly take 5-6 years, pulling out all the exploits I can think of.

To be fair, the Mariners got to play the A's and Angels 13 times each, neither of which was much of a step up from the White Sox.

...by looking very important, maybe a tad haughty, while sitting around on the DL.

And the Mets got the Marlins. Schedule is what it is. One day it will be completely balanced but for now you try and win the games in front of you.

Not that other teams weren't also sadly pathetic, but the Fail Hose did finish

…20 games behind the Rockies (61-101)
…21 games behind the Marlins (62-100)
…22 games behind Anaheim (63-99)

So I do think there's a difference of degree, there. 20 games ain't chopped liver. JMO.

Also the other 4 teams in the Tigers division had a combined 301-346 record, while the 4 teams in the Mariners division were worse, 298-349. So even with how bad the White Sox were the AL Central had more wins than the AL West. Does this prove anything? Not really, but doesn't seem to me that anyone really had any real advantage between the Mariners and Tigers based on their division.

Can't wait for tomorrows game! Go Tigers!

This first ALDS game is very briskly becoming a game where the only consolation is that tomorrow's game will start at a 0-0 score again.

Give Jose Ramirez another eight years of an .856 OPS, and he is a borderline HoF candidate.
