If the season ended today, the Yankees and the Cubs would meet in the World Series. But there is still 2 more months of baseball to play. New York jumped out thanks to a 15-6
post All Star run. The Cub are hot at 14-7 since the break.

Other than the Washington Senators being No Hit by Klippstein of the Athletics, the Pennant Races are heating up. Over in the National League, the Cubs saw their lead dwindle
to 3 games over the Dodgers. Chicago saw a 12-18 record after a 20-10 July. Brooklyn made up 7 games in the standings. But in the American League, the New York Yankees has
maintained their lead over the Browns. Washington and Pittsburgh are still in the running.

What a month, it makes all the difference. In the national League, it is a free for all as the top three teams are all tied for First Place. The Milwaukee Braves fell out of the top spot
and then came roaring back thanks to a current 7 game winning streak. Over in the American League, the Washington Senators got hot and and also are enjoying a 7 game winning
streak.
