2092 Tycobbian Union Most Valuable Player Award
2092 TYCOBBIAN MVP TROPHY PRESENTED TO SOUTH FORK SHORTSTOP LEEUWENHOEK. Silas Leeuwenhoek was honored as the Tycobbian Union Most Valuable Player. He also copped the TU Golden Bat this year. In his 5th IPA season, the 24-year-old shortstop was a vital cog in the Stallions' success. They won the TU East for the fifth season in a row. Leeuwenhoek led the TU with 115 RBIs, batted .299 in 150 games with 28 homers, 102 runs and stole 18 bases. This year's MVP is a career .305 hitter and has made the All-Star team on 3 occasions. Coming in second was La Claire's magnificent right-hander Don Bartels, who compiled an 18-5 mark with a very impressive 2.25 ERA in 31 starts, sparking the Lynx to another TU West division flag. They have won it 7 consecutive times. Since 2087 the club has also snared 3 Pro Cups, too. La Claire was going for a 3-peat this season, but didn't quite make it. They lost to Hartsdale in the first round.. Third place in the Tycobbian Union MVP balloting went to Ginza's capable center fielder Maury Rabouin. He helped the Ninjas to a second-place spot, 7 games back of the division champion Summerland Sunsets. Rabouin led the TU with 115 runs scored, batted .305 with 21 homers, 70 RBIs and 37 SB. He is 25 and has played with the Ninjas for 4 seasons. Last edited by Eugene Church; 02-28-2026 at 04:37 PM. |

Saturday, December 12, 2092 ROBICHEAUX AND BACON BEST IPA SKIPPERS Most of the time Islandians don't agree on very much, but in the case of the best managers in the Islandian Pro Alliance, they do have a lot of agreement. For the second year in a row Antoine Robicheaux of the LaGrange Gators has taken the Ruthlandian Union Manager of the Year trophy. The 2092 Tycobbian Manager of the Year is Jonny Bacon of the La Claire Lynx. It's the third time around for Robicheaux and the first time for Bacon. Billy Christianson of the Rolling Hills Racers has won it the most --- 7 times. Vanya Vasylenko of the Valmara Vipers and Matty Christianson of the Tuckanarra Blue Jays have been named 4 times each. Matty Christianson and Billy Christianson were father and son. NO CONTEST! ROBICHEAUX UNAMINOUS CHOICE FOR 2092 RU MANAGER OF THE YEAR It was no big surprise that LaGrage skipper Antoine Robicheaux snared the Ruthlandian Union Manager of the Year Award. And he did it in grand style, winning 107 games and guiding the Gators to their third successive RU North pennant. This is the third time in four seasons Robicheaux has won the honor. He was a unanimous choice. Only the 2066 Rolling Hills Racers have won more games in a single season than Robicheaux's Gators. Rolling Hills holds the IPA mark with 111 victories. LA CLAIRE'S BACON BRINGS HOME THE BEST TU SKIPPER HONOR Jonny Bacon has done a superb job managing the La Claire Lynx with 3 Pro Cups to his credit the last decade --- and he almost three-peated this year. This year Bacon captured his 7th straight TU West championship, but the Lynx were upset in the first round of the playoffs by Pro Cup finalist Hartsdale. Bacon outpolled Jayson Hallstrom of Summerland and Jay Murphy for the best skipper award. It was a pretty close vote. All three managers enjoyed very good seasons and made the playoffs. Any one of the trio would have been a good choice. It was that close. This was the first time Bacon received the award. Hallstrom won it in 2090, while Murphy garnered it twice, in 2089 and 2091.
