Hooterville Still in Park, Still in Lead in OL S263

The Haymakers finally get back into action to play their final games with a clear task - win 4 of 6 or finish second, possibly third. Port Ruppert can win by winning at least 2 of their 3 games left, providing Hooterville goes at least .500 or worse. Waffletown has completed it's OL season and will win if both the Haymakers and Mundys fail to win at least 2/3 of their remaining games. Transylvania and Asylum both can have a big say in who wins, but neither will be able to say, "We win!"

Games remaining:

ASK - 3 @ HOH
HOH - 3@ TIR; 3 vs ASK
PRM - 3 @ TRI (last three of season)
TIR - 3 vs HOH
TRI- 3 vs PRM

I found myself up a little earlier than usual, so decided to bake some rolls (at least) and figured I'd get these up now rather than later. Good luck to all.

In PT, Hooterville and Asylum continue to hold divsion leads in the AC, Waffletown is again the NC wild card leader, with Transylvania two out. Terra Incognita and Port Ruppert are both far back, with the Mundys fighting relegation.

I really hope Asylum wins its three against Hooterville because of the delicious irony of having them find their first success in seven seasons in silver. Up until this year, the Keepers have won at only a .433 clip, while avoiding relegation, once with 102 losses. In three years of OL crown competition they are 37-78 - .321. It seems in keeping with their star-crossed recent history that even in victory they would come up short of their ultimate goal an OL crown. It would also be nice for them to open the doors for Fairsmith Group partners, Port Ruppert, who could also be candidates for irony if they could win a silver crown while being sent back to bronze. That I do not hope for.

Bronze

Jefferson Valley still sits on top heading into the last day. The Rebels have 9 OL games remaining so the only team mathematically eliminated is Norwood.

In Bronze play Left Coast and Sierra Vista are in a dead heat a top the AC East. The teams get together for a three games series mid month.

G309 Update

Heading into the final lap, Krikkit pulls into the lead. But there's still a lot of OL action to go, with each team playing between 3 and 9 more games today, so the crown is still up for grabs!

Just tried to sign on

Couldn't get on PT. No connectivity, so, for the hell of it, tried XX. Not there either. Did I miss some announcement about maintenance on the servers? Anyone else have any problems? Obviously, it's not my internet connection. Oh well, just had a 20 minute window while waiting for dough to rise. Guess I'll try later.

Any ideas for Wrap Up themes will be welcome. So far I'm leaning toward another record album cover.

I have been connected for a couple of hours this morning so I don’t think there’s any maintenance. However, if they have a separate login server it’s possible that may have been down so people who were already logged in could be OK but the people trying to login would not be able to get in. Just spitballing here.

I'm gonna try once more and then re-install build 54, figuring something got corrupted. I just logged in on my laptop which is still on build 32, since I don't use it often.

Iron 223

OL I233 is still up for grabs heading into the last month of the season. Ring Road sat idle, watching Otonokizaka (typed from memory, no mistakes!) fall below them temporarily.

It's a round robin today, with each of the four eligible teams playing two OL series this month.

In non-OL play, Ring Road is a league-best 85-48, and obviously headed for a disappointing first-road flameout in the playoffs. (That's the way it works, no?)

Hartford is currently in the second wildcard position in the AC, with the Sidewinders and Muse 4.5 and 5 games back, respectively.

Meanwhile, the Buffalo Soldiers, who can see the rest of the OL teams across the conference divide, but who will never face them this season, are in position to be relegated to Stone unless a late-season comeback happens.

(Yes, the table isn't sorted correctly. Didn't see the need until the final standings.)

Yes. Appropriate for this "season" of our lives.

Re-install did not work

Got some packs I've been dying to open, so I guess I'll use the laptop and build 32. Opened 8 packs for the Rustlers this morning and pulled a 90 Jim Sundberg, my best in a long time. Also had a live silver, 7 live bronze, and 7 OL bronze, which will be helpful since the Rustlers are my bronze tourney team, and lag a bit in gaining packs. The 8 represents what they've earned since Tuesday. Hope I'm not turning away from budding pack luck by using the laptop, but I have the time to rip now and haven't since Monday.

I'm in the same boat as of 08:30 CST. (last worked as of 02:00)

Both PT20 & PT21 are not connecting however, I don't have a second computer to try so I am dead in the water until something changes.

After an hour of no change and seeing nothing posted by OOTPD, I decided to reboot my computer and I was able to connect to PT21 with 1st attempt.

After looking things over, I realized that I was only down to a 5 game lead in my division as Hooterville has gone 4-6 in their last 10 games while the 2nd place team (non-OL) is super hot sporting a 10-0 run, in their last 10 games.

Needless to say I am starting to get nervous as not too long ago, I had a comfortable 12 game divisional lead!

Still cannot connect using computer. Makes me glad I installed in on the laptop just in case. It's an older version, but it's working fine. I did have to re-do my tourney rosters, which was a pain. I just let the AI do it and added in a couple of my favorites. They'll do for now. That stuff's so hit or miss anyway. Kris Jardine finally posted that they're looking into it. I guess it's hard to find because it's not too widespread.

yeah, definitely odd.... haven't had any issues here all day (knock on wood)....

good luck to all down the stretch (well, except for any OL teams in silver ahead of me or close to me in the standings... Waffletown needs their first OL title, ya know )

Iron 223 update

With a little more than a week to go in the season, Ring Road has clinched the OL I233 title. Final standings will be posted tomorrow, but a Cochise County 3-game sweep of Otonokizaka guaranteed that the Rams -- who played a light OL schedule -- would end up on top.

Bronze Final

The Rebels stumble in September going 4-5 but hold on the win the Bronze Crown. Daytona Beach went 6-0 yesterday to jump from 6th place to second place. They needed one more win to grab the crown away.

In Bronze play:

The AC East title came down to the last day of the season. Sierra Vista needed a win and Left Coast loss to force a game 163. The Scorpions got their win but the LabRats came through with a 4-1 win of their own to claim the East. The Scorpions will host Pine Tech in the WC game. Pine Tech took 6 of 7 during the regular season.

In the NC we have two playoff teams. Jefferson Valley won the Central and Bluffton a WC. Bluffton will travel to O'Fallon for the WC game. O'Fallon won 5 of 7 from Bluffton in the regular season.

I assume Jefferson Valley is getting promoted regardless of the outcome of the playoffs. The rest of the promotions will be decided based on the outcome of today's games. K-Town will be relegated.
