Randy Brown 1969

Brown appeared in 18 games split between the 1969 and '70 California Angels... I've been unable to find an image of him in a big league uniform, but this one from his Florida State days can serve as a decent substitute since no logo or other team identifier is visible.

Okay, so I have an image of someone wearing #39, apparently for the Giants. Should be easy to identify, right? Wrong.

From 1955 through 1970, #39 for the Giants was worn by (takes breath) Pete Burnside, Jim Constable, Curt Barclay, Leon Wagner (dq by race), Eddie Fisher, Dick LeMay, Randy Hundley, Lindy McDaniel, Bill Monbouquette, Bob Garibaldi and Frank Reberger. And this guy looks like none of them.

Who is this (IMO creepy) fellow? Why is there no logo on his cap? Is there another team that wore black and orange uniform numerals and I'm the wrong team entirely? Help, please.

(My first guess, since I found the photo right next to the O'Donoghue [posted above] and two of Blue Moon Odom, was that this was Digger O'Dell [who pitched in SF from '60-'64]. But it doesn't look like him, either, and he never wore #39 in his life.)
