Don Heffner played 2B-ss for the Browns from 1938-1943. The first two photos are of Heffner.

Allen Strange was an infielder for the Browns from 1940-42 and earlier played for the Browns in 1934-35.

Willis Hudlin, a veteran major league pitcher, served as a flight instructor during World War II, then finished his career with the Browns' 1944 pennant winners. The 38 year old Hudlin pitched in one game in 1944 pitching only 2 innings but absorbing a loss.

Nothing really. We've had discussions about these, but no one on this forum is a lawyer knowledgeable in this stuff.

What we do know is that we're not selling this stuff, so money isn't being made out of it. And, there's no market that we can see for it, so there's no money making potential in it. Therefore, it doesn't seem like there's any potential problems regarding copyrights etc. because there's no money in this and lawsuits are all about money.

As we see it, the exchange of photos on this site and custom making cards that never were is just a hobby that a handful of us are involved in. As far as the logos and all that, it's more of a homage to the folks rather than anything else - in fact it could be looked as advertising and good publicity.

While this photo is from 1934, there is already a colorized image of Moore wearing a 1933 Phillies uniform here.
