They are playing good ball... I love collectively their approach at the plate... Now only if Keith would stop getting nervous on defense with two outs

According to sources he had been sending women unsolicited pictures of his junk. Tigers were going to fire him but he resigned first.

Um, it's only 36 degrees Fahrenheit at Comerica for the start of today's game. Yesterday, it was snowing. Not very hospitable, I'd say.

Tigers make it look like it's 85 and blowing out.

And, on top of that, another defeat at the hands (paws? claws? jaws?) of the Tigers! You can stop hitting home runs now, the game is over.

As long as you keep your paws off the parlays, the worst thing that can happen to you is eternal shame on the internets.

3rd series win in a row. Keep stacking those and you will be alright.

Shoot. Rogers & Margot on the IL. Perez moved to 60 day. Perez and Meadows seem to be worse than feared I guess.

Losing Rogers hurts. He provides value in his ability to handle the pitching staff and he is pretty good defensively as well. Hopefully this is a short term oblique issue. The Meadows thing is odd. The Tigers say that it is a nerve that needs to release. As a guy that sufferers from sciatica from time to time I know that a muscle relaxer usually does the trick to release that nerve. I get this is a different part of the body but with the access to care a professional player has I'm a bit surprised that haven't found a medical way to free that nerve.

Meadows worries me as well. Waiting for Paul Harvey to tell us "the rest of the story".

Max Fried vs. Jack Flaherty today. Should be a tight game. Who will prevail?

Fun fact: Fried and Flaherty were high school teammates — Harvard-Westlake HS (Los Angeles, CA)

It's windy today at Comerica! Not from the weather, but 11 strikeouts combined through three innings.

Ah, one of my favorite pet peeves to grouse about; the first time in this thread, I believe.

Flaherty is cruising with 9 Ks through 5 and a third. 92 pitches. He walks Judge and gives up a single to Goldschmidt. Yanked.

Thanks!

Fried, I would say. Flaherty started out strong but his pitch count was . . . ahem . . . too high. Fried outlasted him and out-K'd him, 11 to 9.

Now, if I am managing the Yankees, I let Fried go out for the 8th inning and see how he does. He threw his fastest pitches only last inning. But they won't do that because it's not what the script calls for these days.
