I go to the kitchen for a beverage, and suddenly it sounds like somebody has lit a whole bag of cats on fire.

"We got a pitchers' duel going" - but we also take every opportunity to cram literally anything else into it!

20 in a row retired by Yamamoto to finish a complete-game 3-hitter...

Yes, THREE-hitter. That pop that Freddie Freeman overran was clearly an error, and the scorer needs glasses.

Back-to-back complete games by Yamamoto. I am flabbergasted!

Not by his performance, but the complete games. What is Dave Roberts thinking?

The shock of the night was Suck-Up Smoltz, the strongest defender of the mutilation that is Manfred-ball, going on a diatribe against the ****ing Pitch Count Obsession.

What's next? Intelligent commentary on The View? Late night "comedians" staying in their lane? A team I support not embarrassing themselves? (Looking at you, South Carolina…)

So much for that idea. I should use reverse psychology and root for the Lodgers.

He is #1 in putting up three different multi-homer games in the same postseason, which hasn't been done before.

Aided of course by the hyperinflation in playoff games. If they had had this amount of pretender rounds in 1927, the Babe would have hit 8+ homers, too.

Babe Ruth stopped pitching regularly at 24 years old. Ohtani is 31 years old.

I may be wrong — probably will be wrong — but my feeling is, the whole Series hangs on what happens now. 9th inning, tie ballgame. LA wins, and the old "mo" is in their favor; Toronto is done. But if the Blue Jays pull this out, they have a chance . . .

Sending Schnieder home was a dumb decision. Reminiscant of the Mariners bringing in Bazardo in game 7 of the ALCS.

Maybe I am seeing a different game, but I am not constantly orgasming like the Fox schmocks do. Yes, it's a good game. Stop telling me to rend the garments from my body in ecstasy.

I was posting that after they brought up the factlet with the three multi-homer games in the same postseason.

Of course the Babe had to play to the same rules as everybody else. No Babe Rule back in 1927.

I adore Shohei, but I hate rules being made with the thought process being "How can we get more Ohtani highlights?" and nothing else.

Whew. I thought the Jays had had it, there, with Freeman up. When is the last time he had a game-winning hit in big time?

Media types try to spin anything into classic if they can. You can tell by how the announcer is yelling on every play. Good game though.
