Tiziano asked, "So what do you plan to do next, strangers?"

"Until we can find a way to force them to leave this world alone, and until we can find a way back home to our home dimension, our home world, and our homeland, we're likely stuck on your world, unfortunately. We may have to spend the rest of our respective lives, to be completely honest with you all here, on this particular world, come to think of it. Do you know any place at all where we might possibly be able to hide out as needed for at least the time being?" asked the oldest swordsman now present, who soon introduced himself as Silvio Korivi. He was also the swordsman who had originally asked Aphyne if she was a member of the Turtle Pilgrim Clan, in fact.

Silvio Korivi was about an inch or two taller than Remke, and about 185 pounds, with reddish-brown hair and bluish-green eyes, and he appeared to be about five years or so older than Remke, even though he was actually about Hyang-nam's age, more or less. His fellow swordsman appeared about the same age as he did, but not quite as old as Silvio did.

The five Cupids conversed briefly with each other in Slaabinese, not far from both women and the eight surviving fighters with them now, before Seung-gwan eventually said, "I believe I know just the place where you might just be able to hide out for a while easily enough, when and if needed. But it probably would be best for us to wait until nightfall around here for safety's sake, strangers. In the meantime, you'll need to find a way to disguise yourselves, it seems to me, for some reason here. Come with me, all of you. Orlona and Aphyne, you two should probably stick closer to the three female fighters here, as well. Remke, you and the others follow along with me as well, come to think of it."

Twenty minutes of walking and sneaking around and all later, Seung-gwan brought everyone to a certain building about a half-mile or so away from where The Noodle Castle had just been prior to the attack there, more or less. After talking briefly with someone at its main doorway, he soon escorted his fourteen companions into said building, and down to a specific area of its basement all by himself.

When they got there, Quintino asked, "Where are we, Seung-gwan?"

"We are in the residence of one of my many cousins' families, and they will not say anything about these strangers. They are well-acquainted with the unusual and the strange and the unexpected. They are aware of things that many other people are not aware of, and not just on this planet of ours, in fact. I can say no more about such things right now, however, in relation to them, for various reasons I'm not currently at liberty to discuss with most others," said Seung-gwan, with a bit of a regret then on his face here, for he didn't often like to keep certain things secret in his life, for sure.

"Can they be trusted to keep our presences and existences here secret, then, Houng-chisuki?" asked one of the female fighters. Chisuki was a term used in a similar sense of formal address to the Japanese use of san for many people who they knew or encountered in their lives, but slightly less formal than that. It wasn't a term that was completely informal, but it was slightly less formal than the similar -san address in Japanese might normally be considered as, to be sure.

"They will not breathe even a single word of either, or at least not vocally, to others who do not need to know of you all, if and whenever they don't absolutely have to and can possibly avoid doing so, most definitely."

Two hours later, after a rather interesting and rather considerable discussion and some rather-unexpected happenings in that basement, Seung-gwan, his teammates, and both women left the strangers alone in that basement with each other, and departed the building they'd come to hours before with them. That done, the seven Slaabovians went on their ways, with the two women eventually parting from the five men after they escorted the women to their homes elsewhere in Folliston. Once the women were away from them, the men went back to the dormitory complex where most of the Cupids who were still single resided, per team rules. There were a few yet-unmarried Cupids who didn't live in said complex, for various reasons, but most single players on the Cupids did so, for multiple reasons.

Two more parts to this scene before we get back to the games here, I think. I don't know what's going to happen yet either on the field for the SRL's teams or not, of course, but hopefully this dynasty will be a good one to work with, et cetera, in any case. When they got back to the dormitory complex, they were met by Dave Parker, the Cupids' 37-year-old bench coach. He was still Caucasian, but his skin tone was rather dark, even so. Nobody knew just where in Slaabovia he hailed from, in terms of his birthplace, at least. But he did speak Slaabinese with an considerable blended Spanish/French-style accent. Or at least that was what most people thought about his accent whenever they heard it easily enough, which was often when he was really concerned or potentially worried or upset about something in his life. The more he was concerned or worried or upset about something, the more it would often become evident in his speaking manner. Parker saw the men coming in, and said, in more of an accented way, in Slaabinese, "You're just barely in time for curfew, boys. Where'd you go?"

Tiziano said, "Coach, we were at The Noodle Castle earlier today, and were unavoidably delayed in returning here, sorry to say."

"Why in blazes would you go there? There's a lot better food around here than that place, I think!" He glared a bit at Platina, thinking that he was the one who decided that they should all eat there more than any of the others he'd gone there with or met there. He and Tiziano hadn't gotten along very well since they'd first met, for various reasons.

Remke tried to calm Parker down, by giving him a palms-down gesture several times, moving his hands down from about chest-level to waist-level, saying, with a quiet, yet still recognizable, voice in Slaabinese, "We ended up there by random chance, for we just let our feet take us where they would, and we had a good time for a while there, sir. Quintino here got googly-eyed over a young lady that we met there, by the way."

"I did not!" claimed Tuomino, protesting futilely, before Chang chuckled, in obvious merriment.

"What's so funny?"

Chang said, "Parker, he said, as he looked at our waitress, and I quote exactly, 'The girl of my dreams, and to think I've never seen her before in person, in truth,' when he couldn't tear his eyes away from her. She looks a lot like a forest nymph you might often see in various mythologies, I believe, if I'm not too mistaken here. Although I could be wrong about that. She's also a bit feisty, too, it seems, at times, I think, from what little I know of her to date."

"Oh, and you weren't nuts about the hostess yourself, Chang?" asked Tuomino, with a skeptical glance towards Chang.

"Nope, not in the least. Curious about her, maybe, but not nuts, for sure."

"And how did you end up with Houng there?" asked Parker, as he waved his hand briefly in Houng's direction, after finally spotting him just behind where Remke had been standing for a while.

"We met up in the aftermath of the attack there, and have been together since that time. He was there because he went out to celebrate his birthday, after all. And we got caught up in the attack there, but fortunately, none of us got hurt, thanks to several others who appeared in the area easily enough," said Remke.

"Fine, it's late, and I'm tired. Get to bed, you all, we have a game tomorrow, after all. Houng, even though you're still on the disabled list, you'll still be expected to be present when the game goes on, of course. Remke, remember, you're pitching tomorrow, so don't stay up too late."

"Understood, sir. Let's go, folks. Let's get some z's, if we can, then. Although I suppose it's going to be a night like we've not had before, for some reason I can't quite explain at the moment, I think." Parker nodded, and then left the area in very short order.

Moments later, each of them were in their assigned sleeping areas, and sound asleep. But as Remke had just predicted, it was going to be a night like they'd not had before, for reasons yet to be revealed.

Not long after they each were asleep in their respective beds, and the dormitory complex's grounds were completely silent except for some security guards making rounds on them, a portal winked briefly into silent existence before depositing a few strange creatures and several components to some sort of unknown device or devices not far from where the men now slept, then vanishing as suddenly and as quietly as it had appeared. The aforementioned creatures and device components were currently invisible and unhearable, and would remain so until they needed to be seen or heard by anyone in the complex. So the guards wouldn't see or hear them at all, even if they were somehow near those creatures or components, unless they were uncloaked and all.

The creatures in question were about the size of a typical whippet, more or less, but had shells like turtles, humanoid-like hands with six fingers (two of which were thumbs), mostly bluish-green skin bearing randomly-placed spots of various colors over much of their bodies not covered by their shells, horse-like manes in various colors, and six-toed bird-like feet with retractable webs between each toe that could often hold onto things such as a tree branch, for example, if it wasn't too thick. Half their toes were in the front, and half in the back.

At the moment, nothing whatsoever was in any of their feet, which were currently being used for movement by them all. And they were currently walking mostly erect while still carrying the components they'd appeared on the complex with all of a sudden. The half-dozen creatures quietly moved around on the complex's grounds, even as they also assembled the components on the way to where they were told to go before they'd been deposited on them. They'd been told to go to the dormitory where the five men now slept, and leave several devices near each of them, without being seen or heard, before returning to the spot on the complex's grounds where they'd earlier been deposited.

They assembled ten devices before slipping secretly into five different rooms in that dormitory, two of which were shared by teammates who'd been present at the time of the attack at The Noodle Castle, and three other rooms, with the third of those rooms being the one that Houng slept in not far from another current member of the Cupids' 25-man roster. Specifically Kyle Perry, with Bahaman ancestry from the Nassau area of the Bahamas, more or less, even though he himself had been born in Wordzap, Follisland, nearly 23 years earlier. He too was on the disabled list, but he was expected to be activated very soon from it, for he still had to spend two more days on it before he could be activated from it.

Kyle, however, wasn't going to be one of the people they were going to leave a device near at this time. They didn't know why, if they ever would, but they still didn't leave one of the aforementioned devices near him here, in any case.

After leaving two nearly identical devices in Quintino and Remke's room, they slipped into Platina's room which he shared with Chang, a workout area, a medical area, and then Houng's room. They left two more devices in Platina and Chang's room, three in the workout area, two in the medical area, and one in Houng and Perry's room. After doing that, they all quickly hurried back to their arrival point, and were gone from it in the same manner as they'd come seconds later.

Meanwhile, back where they left their devices, the devices, once they'd detected the necessary people in their immediate vincinities, they began monitoring those people, and even began to somehow feed them several images in their dreams that they wouldn't likely understand for at least a little while longer. Mostly images of beings and places that none of them had likely ever met or seen or heard before, even, at that, at the very least.

As the devices began feeding them those images, the five men slept on, not realizing that as they did so, their bodies began to glow in various colors at the same time, before those colors eventually sank into their bodies, for yet-unknown reasons. They wouldn't know about this sort of phenomenon just yet, for sure, but later on, they'd eventually come to learn what had happened while they'd slept for the first time after their visit to the now-ruined Italian restaurant elsewhere in Folliston. But at the present time, such knowledge was far from them all, and it probably would remain so for some time to come, as well.

The scene currently being shown in my Slaabovia-related dynasty will likely significantly affect certain events in Slaabovia in the very near future. While certain players present in the dynasty may not actually miss playing time because of those events, people close to them may be affected, some more than others, and maybe even random strangers and/or government personnel, for example, will be too.

I don't know where any number of things are going to go in the future just yet with this particular dynasty, of course. But let's all still try and see how things develop as best as we each can, and as quickly as we each can, folks. Okay? CD out.

Just tried to make a home uniform, at least, for the Las Vegas Antlers of the future Sartagaron Heritage Confederation in my fictional nation of Slaabovia, using Justafan's Jersey Creator, and it glitched on me. Willson is going to try an experiment of sorts, seeing as much of their roster is made up of pitchers, not position players, at present. To get playing time for many of their pitchers, they will and have already begun to play pitchers in the field so far this year, until they are able to even things out better, roster and/or organization-wise, folks.

So if you see the Athletics with what appear to be many more errors than would normally be expected for them in any game's box score, that's probably why. They may not hit well, or field well, at least, but maybe they'll still get at least some game experience whenever other players need rest and they're not pitching. Or to add more bats on a certain side of the plate at times, when needed and/or appropriate and/or desired.

Their last game, unfortunately, had 18 errors for them, and they lost 19-3, mainly because I put several pitchers on the field at the same time to get some game experience for them, seeing as they hadn't likely pitched much already this season, if I remember correctly. I'll probably post shots of the related box score later, at some point, if and when I get a chance to do so well enough, et cetera.

I'll write more about certain other developments around the dynasty later, if and when the need and/or desire arises, and if and when I can do so somehow well enough, I'm quite sure. But just wanted to share a bit of information here about Willson, at the very least. Eugene, I'd really like to see your thoughts on things so far around this dynasty later, sometime soon, if possible, for instance. CD out.

Folliston is really enjoying a good April... already four games ahead... think they have the best logo in the league... the secondary logo looks good in your post when you enlarge the screen.

So does the Sara City Rockets secondary logo... both of them are nice, clean and uncluttered... and show up well in the small size.

The Wilson Athletics small logo looks real good, too.

My team, the Shmala Bears are not doing so well... just halfway through the first month and already 5 and a half games out... but hey, it's a long season... plenty of time to regroup and get rejuvenated.
