I haven't done this since I believe FHM 6 but is there no longer a way to import players using their ID?

In the first year of a standard game (2021-22) Is the list of available players for the expansion draft fixed or is it determined each time a draft is scheduled? In other words, if I make a bunch of roster moves and then schedule a draft, will the AI's decisions be based on the edited roster?

I found a workaround - I can edit their assigned team in the edit player screen to send them to junior B. It adds some extra clicking but it accomplishes the task, and it makes me more committed when deciding to who send down/call up.

Also, thank you for ramping up the number of games player per player in the non-playable leagues.

Is it possible to activate an inactive country's national team? I want to edit an Elite League team to be based in Ireland and build up the Irish National team with their youth system, but IRL's not currently in IIHF rankings. Is there any editing option that will allow the nation's database to be playable?

Import historical players? Bottom of the league edit screen.

It's a fixed list. If you want to edit it, it's seattle_exp_draft_list.txt in the \Documents\Out of the Park Developments\Franchise Hockey Manager 8\database folder (but make a backup first.)

Not possible at the moment. We'd need to do some additional work to get the international tournaments to use the new team, the lowest-level ones would need to expand. Might happen at some point, but I'm not sure when.

Not sure if this is a bug, but I increased the number of seats in my arena at the start of my 3rd season, but at the start of my 4th year, it reset to the original value before the changes. Is it supposed to reset?

Tangibly related, what determines how much an owner takes back from your financial profits on July 1st? Unless you folks purposely made Ottawa Sens owner Melnyk an asshat for more realism, he took over 90% of the profits of a lucrative year (>1000 financial points) leaving me with barely enough to upgrade my facilities.

No, it shouldn't. Was that a historical game? I'm wondering if it's reverting to the original values during the season update.

There are a few factors - primarily the amount of money the team currently has, the level of the league, and the Financial Patience rating of the owner. If you compare the ratings of owners around the league, you'll see that number varies by quite a bit, and it has a significant influence on the decision to take profits and the amount taken.

Never mind-I was clicking the box, you need to tab...

Thanks I looked right past it-I am just playing around with the game so I tried to import a player-when I do I cant enter the year after searching the name and when I import their age is the current year of the sim. I can then edit month and year of birth but not day and save but in this case Tony Granato's age remained as 197. Tried it with two others with the same result.

In any given scouting region, is it better to hire one expensive scout with spectacular ratings, or several cheap scouts with so-so ratings? Both drive the scouting rating up

Not really a bug but I remember some discussion about injured players as free agents so wanted to make sure this is supposed to happen.

In my game, the Rangers signed Rask to a 2 year deal on Jan 2nd 2023. He is still out 2-3 months.

Maybe teams just weren't supposed to sign players who were 4 or more months out and once it gets below a certain number of days, then signings are possible?
