I hear you when you say it didn't click. It was the same for me, but as soon as I added 'little player' mods, it changed it enough to make it watchable. At least for me. (No more boring boxes - hooray)!!

I use these ones by Flying_Canuck, IMO they look great in game!

LOL, I enjoyed making these. I really look forward to every year's version and what changes will be made to the graphics engine. And I'll be back and see if there's anything we can do to add a bit of eye candy for everyone

IMO, we've come a LONG way since the first few FHMs. It's only going to get better in time!

Your right, the player icons and larger puck, makes for a much better expierence when watching a game play out. Thanks for all the suggestions, and the mod maker(s) . Great job. Thanks again.

I would like the 30th June season performance points award, to change to a flexible date. So for example, you can 'cash in' your points on any date once the Stanley Cup (or other league championship) has been decided. That would then allow you to move to another team and leave some time to negotiate with any free agents prior to July 1st, which would be more realistic.

Also it's probably been mentioned a million times, but the entry draft to be scheduled correctly in June when it normally occurs.

Clean up the folder structure. Why do we need copies of player pics, award pics, logos, jerseys, helmets etc in every save game. Just have one global graphics folder that all save games read from.

Just got into the playoffs into the conference final:

No confirmation I'd even qualified for the playoffs or media hype around teams competing to qualify.

No media hype or interaction.

Barely a way of following other teams results, you can only see the series score.

Please guys, just make this better for the next edition, some of these things have been left untouched and in need of improving for years now.

I agree, even just some articles in the manager news feed would add a lot of flavour during the play-offs. Like a recap of qualified teams, players to watch, etc. Play-offs time comes a bit "out of nowhere" and it's underwheliming , it could really use some news hype. It would a lot of immersion IMO

Ya, even a quick review of the matchups just showing the regular season records and the results between the teams or something.

On that note, I had recently won the Cup and was trying to find out who won the Conn Smythe trophy and it was not in any email, I went to my team and had to click through the players to see who won it.

The Conn Smythe is given out with all of the other end-of-season awards.

The scouting in custom games needs to be fixed. The futures list is mostly/all players that are ineligible to be drafted, depending on what league you're in, and there's no league watch list, midterm ranking or final ranking in any league.

Also the number of games where goalies have ridiculous performances like saving 59/60 shots against. Those kind of games probably only occur once or twice in a goalies career, but in FHM it's more like once or twice per season.
