Green Bay ruined the debut of St. Louis rookie starting Cory Birks by scoring three runs over the first two innings and the Mallards went on to defeat the River Walkers 3- 1 at PNC Stadium.
The win gave Green Bay wins in two of three games in the series
Jordan Lawlar opened the game with a lead-off single off Birks, who was making an emergency start for Agustin Perdomo, and Alberto Landaverde followed with being hit by a pitch.
A ground out by Devon Reyna put runners at second and third.

Walkers news: April 29 -- St. Louis 9, Detroit 6

Record: 9-15, 6th, 6 GB Quad City
St. Louis starting pitcher Kevin Hrdlicka took a no-hitter into the top of the seventh inning but what was a scoreless game changed quite quickly from there.
After allowing a one-out double to Joey Wilson, Hrdlicka surrendered a two-run homer to Lee Oakley before exiting the game.
That was the start of a six-run inning for the Diesels.
However, the River Walkers exploded for nine runs in the bottom of the eighth on their way to a 9-6 win at Busch Stadium (2006).
Lets start with Detroit's seventh inning.
Ron Cox replaced Hrdlicka after the Oakley homer.
He was horrible.
He walked the first two batters he faced before giving up a three-run homer to Adam Stratton.
Jonathan Villareal followed with a double.
Victor Rosiles replaced Cox, only to be greeted by an RBI double by Freedy Woolsey as Detroit went up 6-0.
But St. Louis trumped that an inning and a half later.
Facing the Diesels bullpen, the Walkers scored nine runs on six hits and they drew three walks.
The big hits were home runs.
Pinch-hitter Gabriel Hagan hit a grand slam off Martin Alfaiate, while Manuel Coke hit a two-run shot off Joe McClain.
Before Hagan's slam, Jose Ramon drove in a run with a single off Alfaiate while Nolan Gorman collected an RBI double.
Ryan Wibbenmeyer also had an RBI double, his coming just in front of Coke's eighth homer of the season.
Hrdlicka went 6.2 innings, allowing two runs on two hits. He struck out eight and walked three.
Cox failed to retire any of the four batters he faced.
Victor Rosiles got the final out of the seventh.
Leo Hermosillo (1-0) pitched a scoreless top of the eighth to earn the win.
Craig Fritzler notched his fourth save.

The River Walkers added another run later in the inning, Nick Shaw with an RBI double off Orozco to score Manuel Coke.
Coke had drawn a one-out walk and moved to second on a wild pitch.
Freddy Woolsey and Laurenco Curvelo connected for back-to-back homers off St. Louis starting pitcher Juan Farias in the top of the first to put Detroit up 2-0.

Walkers news: May 5 -- Top SS prospect Gomez called up; Urbalejo tagged for AAA

The St. Louis River Walkers have called up 25-year-old shortstop R.J. Gomez from AA Springfield and sent veteran infielder Tony Urbalejo for AAA Memphis.
Urbalejo will have to clear waivers before he can join the Redbirds.
The Walkers re-signed veteran shortstop Daylen Reyes in the offseason hoping he could play the position again for them in 2039.
But Reyes, 37, has struggled mightily batting just .119 with two RBIs in his first 26 games (23 starts).
St. Louis signed Gomez as a free agent in the offseason.
He has played at both AAA and AA Springfield this season and struggled at the plate at both levels.
At AAA, Gomez started four games and hit just .059 with one homer and two RBIs.
For Springfield, Gomez started 21 games and hit .182 with two homers and 10 RBIs.
Urbalejo got into six games in St. Louis, hitting .176 with one homer and one RBI.
