And just so I don't bump the thread without content...this is my to-do for this week.
Unfortunately OOTP doesn't support three sub-leagues, so you'd have to merge the Nihon and Zenkoku into a single subleague and split them into divisions, then add the Mirai (either all eight or six of them) if you truly wanted a triple "league" setup. Otherwise, pick and choose these to go into the Nihon and Zenkoku.

I guess 2 subleagues, with 2 divisions each (5 in each divisions). 20 total teams.

But maybe expand by 2 teams at a time, and expand every 3-5 seasons so that the talent pool is not drained too much. Might take 15-20 years to form a 20 teams league.

The Matsuyama Arrows finally have an actual main logo outside of just their cap insignia. The concept is inspired by the Hanwha Eagles of the KBO but the actual execution is 100% original. I don't remember where I got the stock arrow and baseball from, those can probably just be looked up.

ARROWS font is Stainless Bold (the same font used on NASCAR driver banners actually!) and the Matsuyama font on the outside is Race Sport by Dafont.

How about the Ibaraki Cherry Blossoms/AKA Sakura or the Ibaraki Bush Warblers, for instance, as possible alternate team names they could use besides Wizards? That's if you're actually using the one in Ibaraki Prefecture, north of Tokyo, if I remember correctly, and not the one in Osaka Prefecture, that is. Just a suggestion or two here for some other possible names related to a team there, that's all, you see. CD out.

Possibly a good idea, but those are looooooong names for the uni editor and honestly I'm not sure which one he put it in. Probably the one in Ibaraki Prefecture if i had to guess. That and we're moreso trying to just tie up loose ends and get the main project done.

well, Sakura means the same thing as Cherry Blossoms, I believe. So if you went that route, you could call a team the Ibaraki Cherry Blossoms or the Ibaraki Sakura or the Ibaraki Cherries, for instance. As for the bird-related nickname, just Warblers might work here, perhaps. CD out.

Solid idea. I'll possibly test out the waters as i do still need to do my possible set of expansion teams, albeit not as many.

I hope set B will have available pre-23-style items as well, in time. I think I privately gave tehsuigi a list of other potential team names he and/or you could then consider for possible use later on, if not right away, actually, 39_Ringo. If he hasn't shared them with you, perhaps you could ask him for those suggestions privately as well, if you wanted to, of course. Unfortunately, I've still somehow not been able to find enough time to clear enough space for future messages in my mailbox here well enough. Hopefully, I'll soon be able to do that well enough, but I haven't been able to just yet, to be sure. CD out.

I'm sure many of the already-chosen locations have other real-world sports teams you can borrow looks and names from, like Hiroshima has the Dragonflies, if I remember correctly, for a basketball (?) team, for instance. Whether such teams are still active in 2023 or not, of course. Especially if you want to stay as far as you can away from actually using corporate sponsors' names as part of any team's name for your InY thing here. Just so you know. CD out.

I am not sure if the "automatically adjust league strategy when advancing to next season" should be checked. Is this a historical template? If not, I don't think the box should be ticked. I don't think that's the default template.

Are you using the Modern QS or the Historical one in 2022? I'll add it to the list of things to fix when I re-release these things for OOTP 24.

IIRC the checkbox won't actually do anything past 2022 because there's no historical data to adjust strategies to.

Happy to reveal the eight expansion identities for the Isekai no Yakyu A Set a day ahead of schedule.

You can mix and match these to expand either the Nihon or Zenkoku Leagues, or run this group as a WHA-like competitor to the JPBO before absorbing them.

A few notes about the teams:

• Most of these uniforms mimic the [LEAGUE REDACTED] expansion teams that MUFC1878, txranger, nutt, and I pulled together, with varying degrees of changes like Okinawa going blue/gold instead of black/gold
• I wound up colour-swapping the Aomori Polaris from green before to pink so we don't have three green teams in the JPBO; with the [confectioner seafarers] not in the game, no one wears pink
• The Black Swans play off the existing J.League team the Albirex and the famous lake near Niigata where the swans congregate. The bill is red/orange to mirror the bird, kinda like their rivals the Woodpeckers over in Sendai
• The Flames added a black alternate like their hockey inspiration, but no Blasty the Horse
• Finally figured out how to do raglan shoulders with the Rovers!
• And I left the Arrows basically as is. Don't mess with perfection, and these jerseys have been perfect since the Midori no Ya! dynasty

With this, we have completed 44 different teams in exactly 24 different cities. This means this quote can be realistically achieved (If you assume the Kansai Cubs play in Nishinomiya while the Hyogo Gladiators play in a different city in the prefecture. We chose Himeji.).

1) You have a lot of links available, but I don't know which I should use. I think I want to use the 1950s quickstart, but why might a person want to use the first two, the ones with templates and why do some of the others list 2 years?

2) I read through the thread and see that you played it out with some teams changing. Does this happen automatically when using a quickstart or do we need to do that manually? Either way is fine, it just didn't occur to me that OOTP had this capability with fictional quickstarts.

3) 24 team leagues are probably the most popular setup. Instead of having the user have to choose set A or B and miss out on some teams, why not make the extra teams all expansion teams that come in at some point? I thought maybe it was tradition, but I see *** didn't always only have 12. I like what both of you and 39_Ringo have done, I don't really want to have to choose only one.

4) Before I decided I should just play yours, I was envisioning making a league with one division, or even one whole league, with Tokyo area teams only and the other divisions with non Tokyo area teams. If you were to go even further away from ***'s setup, would you maybe do this or does it not make sense somehow? I don't know much about Japan.

Again, thank you very much for all of this. It's unfortunate what lead to it, but I think it's great that this is the result.

Since Markus has confirmed there's no Japanese leagues with real data in OOTP 24, I'll be working to update the JPBO QuickStarts for OOTP 24 early in the game cycle. The Modern and 1950 QSs should be easiest to do since I still have the originating saves.

And those of you who spotted that uniforms have names and numbers in the trailer...yes, Ringo and I will include those too once we know what the format is.

Minor updates: new road uniforms for the Black Swans and Polaris to make the team name more legible, plus white-bordered main logos for the Polaris and Wizards for the same reason.
Find these in the same 7zip file as before for the expansion teams.

Also! Since I'm bringing the minor leagues into the A Set Quickstart for 24, we need a logo for said minor league, right?

The Junior JPBO (JrPBO) replaces the "second army" level of [LEAGUE REDACTED], and similar to that league, all teams share the same name and uniforms as their parent organization. The lone exception I'm tweaking from the real world is that the road uniforms and a few logos will use the junior team's home city where it differs from the parent team's.


Those will be a separate upload once finished.
