Also, it looks like the Rangers will be coming back down to Diamond, unless something crazy happens. As of writing this, they are now 9 back of the wild card. I started to move a few pieces in hopes to rebuild for Diamond for next week. It was a good season though. Currently sitting 66-75 in Perfect, which I think is an achievement. My other non-OL team in Perfect didn't do so well...and I'll leave it at that.

The Bombers however, have a 1/2 game lead on the division, but 2nd place is 2 games back of the wild card, so that'll be close. On them though, I've went ahead and made sure everyone was added, and set it to friends list, in preparation for next week.
I do the same as you but play silvers instead of irons, which I find too random. I figure better to specialize on one level and spam it. Why play on the same level with multiple teams where you takes wins from yourself. And, you can only enter three tournaments at a time anyway. Plus, gold is so expensive to field a team. I don't run my gold team on my main for that reason. It would take away much needed PP. So, I run the bronze on them.

Gold

Krikkit takes home the crown. Palolo needed a perfect day to overtake the War Robots and finished the day 4-10. The 10th loss was a game 163 loss Norwood.

With that win Norwood won the AC East and Palolo will host the Wildcard game. Krikkit missed out on the second wildcard by 1 game. We have two teams in the playoffs and Asylum will be relegated.

Jefferson Valley Holds On to Win OL S286

The Rebels weathered a few bumpy patches, but held off Left Coast to win their third OL crown (I think) in PT 21. Jefferson Valley got off to a fast start, sweeping Sierra Vista in a four game set that saw each game decided by one run. From there, they basically held serve to claim the crown.

In PT play, only Port Ruppert made the post season, gaining the second NC wild card spot with a 9-8 victory at Jefferson Valley in game 163. Port Ruppert stumbled early in the month, giving up the spot to the surging Rebels, and then the teams spent the last couple of weeks on the schedule trading places until the end. Left Coast faltered early on and could not contend for their division, with the wild card not in contention. In the AC, Terra Incognita suffered a major nose dive to drop from first to third.

Hooterville, Sierra Vista, and Transylvania will be headed back to bronze. Barring an unlikely run by the Mundys, the rest of the silver teams will be back.

War Robots Shine with Golden Gleam

Congratulations! Their third, I believe. I'm keeping Edster hours today because I have a ton of yard work due and wanted to get up what I could. Results that come in later may not see crowns until this afternoon.

D356 End of Season Update

Shinbone grabs Diamond Crown

We've got stars in our eyes! Shinbone made the most of their limited OL schedule, winning just enough games to grab the OL crown.

Weston Pointe and Cary made the playoffs. Congrats and good luck to you both.

Only one team will get promoted so unless one of our boys wins the Diamond League Series, we'll all be back in Diamond next year. No team was relegated.

The Rebels won 2 packs in a tourney yesterday. Each pack contained a diamond. You get excited when you see the back of that card coming out of the pack, then it flips over and both times they were live cards, Syndergaard and Hader. probably get a shade over the 4K quick sell price for each. I gotta say though it is fun to rip the packs regardless of the outcome.

Side note: The beginning of this upcoming week is going to be rough one. I will have a team in silver and a team in gold-happy to do standings but I may be hit or miss posting on Tuesday and Wednesday.

My three teams will all be in Silver, unless Port Ruppert gets lucky in the playoffs, so I've got silver.

Where's Willie?

When I just put the King Kelly card up, I checked to see if there were Willie Mays available. There were four. I actually got a whale to bite sometime in the evening and spent my edster hours this morning re-stocking the Keepers with some of my favorite ballplayers (always first consideration), but there has been no Willie Mays. It's great knowing there will be, though.

Back to the yard. Am I correct that there is only iron left to go?

good luck any OL teams in the post season... v21 Syrups get an early start to the off season (somehow managed to get 2nd place in their division)... heading over to watch the v20 Syrups (swept the final 4 game series with their division rival and won the division by 2 games over them )... first game should be in an hour or so

Don't forget to add the Bombers back in to your Friends List since they're returning to OL after selling the Live Trout they caught. I've added them on the Rangers who are returning to Diamond after a fun week in perfect. 74 Wins for them, could have been 78/79 maybe, but I started to sell a few pieces to get a few bigger pieces for this week when I realized I was far enough out of the Wild Card.

Also, in non-OL news, but I know y'all will enjoy it...Bombers made it the Playoffs in walk-off fashion in Game 163 of Diamond against a stacked team containing 100 Clemens, 100 Bob Gibson, 100 Jackie, 100 Nolan Ryan, etc. Was a great game to watch the highlights of!

Hopefully friends list works and we all get paired up next week. Best of luck in the playoffs everyone!

Best of luck to all!! I lost a one game tie-breaker in D356 to just miss making the post-season. Oh well, need to improve my pitching, but good ones are expensive...

I208 Report...split the trophy?

Technically, K-Town ended on top of the pile in OL I208, with a .003 edge on Ft. Huachuca.

What's odd - or perhaps it's normal for OL - is that K-Town's only OL games were against Otonokizaka, so even though they were in a 6-team OL league, it wasn't really six teams, it was two teams and four teams.

We'll leave that ruling to the OL commissioners

What I can say is that the Buffalo Soldiers were headed for a clear title after taking 3 of 4 from Hartford at the beginning of September, only to drop 5 of 6 to Asheboro at the end of the month.

In PT news, the Muse, Road Dogs, Buffalo Soldiers and Sidewinders all return to Iron next year.

Hartford and K-Town are both trailing in the playoff series. Hartford is down 3-2 in the AC SubLeague, while K-Town has only won 1 of the first four in their NC SubLeague series.

Vlora stays in Stone...and in Vlora

The Vlora White Stallions came up short in their Division series in Stone 166 and will return to Stone for next season. Vlora managed to capture the second wildcard spot, then won their wildcard series, before losing the rubber game of the 5-game Division series.

After the game, Vlora players addressed the rumors surrounding the team's future and the Bears Lives Matter protests that have recently emerged.

Team leader and spokeman, Willie Crawford, told the assembled media, "We appreciate that people remember the old rivalries and would like to see us back in Stephensville, but Our League needs to become an international game. We know management and players often disagree about things, but this locker room has been united in their love for Vlora and the people here who have supported us."

Crawford added, "We just need to be a little more united in our bullpen support of our starters and for our offense to score more runs so we can move to the next level."

Until they do, there will likely be little OL action for these players.

May be a change of plans. The Rebels, who I planned to carry no player rated higher than 89 just pulled a perfect George Brett from a pack won in a tournament.

A Gold update although trailing 2 games to none the Puppies are currently in the World Series and will be moving to Diamond next week. Here's hoping they can erase the deficit and bring a win to the OL.

With Palolo moving up and nobody from Silver getting promoted that leaves 4 teams in Gold. Hopefully placement will give us some OL games. Given the small number of teams I can handle Gold standings this coming week.
