Mount Hawke has completely thrashed my nearly identical team this season (at least it was at the beginning). Props to you. My players forgot how to play defense.

Claptown still lead, but we're nicely set for any of the top five to make a move.

Eden Prairie posted a 5-2 month, while Daytona Beach dropped three-of-four to Grovers Mill, lifting the Landsharks into first.

little spotlight for a lowly Silver card holding his own off the bench in the Diamond league:
73 - Jack Doyle he was my sole backup catcher for the longest time, but also backs up first and second. Other than a couple sub-par seasons in Gold (2029-2030) where he slipped below the .200 mark for his average, he's been a pretty solid bat off the bench. I'm sure he'll head to the reserves eventually, but for now, he gets to keep his spot. |

No OL games in July, so OL standings are unchanged. Bordeaux, with no scheduled OL games, seems to have figured things out and are on-track for the playoffs.

Judge Smales Calls For Elimination Of Gophers
Bushwood Caddies President Judge Smales has issued a directive to eliminate all Gophers. "Do you know what Gophers can do to a golf course? We can't have that and I'm calling on our groundskeeper to eliminate these varmints." Freeze Gopher! ![]()

If it's down to chance that you're in the same division, that's quite a coincidence!

Mevagissey put the pedal down with a 6-1 run to end day five.
There are just enough games left to potentially cause some fireworks. Meva have 3 against Auckland, Claptown play 3 at Holy City, and North Bay play 3 at Greenland and 3 vs Waxhaw. North Bay and Holy City are just within reach of the crown, but it would take an extreme set of results for either. Claptown have a better chance if they can win their series against the Hurricanes. |

Aceldama slumped to 2-5 in August, while Bushwood went 4-2 to tighten up the race. Only Shinbone, ineligible due to scheduling, has been eliminated.

SaukCentre won five-of-six to move past their stable mates, Eden Prairie, and grab the lead heading into the home stretch. Any of the top four can win. Daytona Beach has only three left, all at home against SaukCentre, to start September, and could set themselves up as "Kings of the Hill." SaukCentre has seven other games, all versus Baltimore, whom they have dominated. Eden Prairie has six with Terra Incognita and then seven with Coney Island. Besides their home and home series with Eden Prairie, the Rustlers have four at home against Brooklyn. Of the trailers, only Coney Island, with 13 contests remaining, has a large enough schedule to make a miracle run. Brooklyn has only four and Grovers Mill three.

Either the humans or varmints will win the Division. Head Groundskeeper Carl just IM'd me so we are feeling confindent: "Licensed to kill gophers by the government of the United Nations. Man, free to kill gophers at will. To kill, you must know your enemy, and in this case my enemy is a varmint. And a varmint will never quit - ever. So you have to fall back on superior firepower and superior intelligence. And that's all she wrote." |

Any chance of a late turnaround was eradicated by Mevagissey sweeping Auckland. However, other results also left them in a position they couldn't lose from.
Just Holy City and Waxhaw into the wildcard draw, so good luck to you guys. Auckland couldn't drag themselves out of the bottom four and are relegated to Silver. |

The Our League crown chase in Silver 280 extended into the 11th inning of the season's last game before Long Beach closed out an exciting stretch run to win by just .011 over Aceldama. The Landsharks stumbled out of the blocks in September, losing two-of-three to Bushwood. Long Beach righted the ship by sweeping their next three against the Doug Outs at home, but, when the Butchers later swept the Caddies, it left no margin of error for Long Beach in their road series against Doug to close out the campaign. Though the Landsharks had dominated them during the season, 14-5, Doug did not prove, in the final series, to be easy Outs (couldn't help myself - ed.
). Long Beach found a willing collaborator in Doug reliever Frank Lary, who served up homers to Albert Belle and Giancarlo Stanton in the 13th inning of game one, and then was taken deep by pinch hitter Ted Williams in the 11th inning of game 162, giving the Landsharks their third OL crown. In PT play, half the OL teams made the play offs, with an all-OL series possible, while Doug heads down to Bronze. Last edited by Stanley Kuppchaser; 08-21-2022 at 07:37 AM. |

SaukCentre slumped mightily down the stretch and Daytona Beach slipped by them to capture the Bronze 235 OL crown. Eden Prairie came up short as their solid September was only good for second place. Five OL teams made the PT playoffs and, if Coney Island and Daytona Beach can win their respective Wild Card Series, there will be at least two promotions to Silver. Bruno will be headed down to Iron.

Diamond League:
Mount Hawke holds on to claim their 4th Diamond tier OL crown (tying Aomori's 4 crowns). Overall, Mount Hawke will represent OL in the AC playoff bracket, while Aomori and Port Ruppert will make a run in the NC. Los Angeles tried to avoid the relegation zone but appears to have come up one game short, so they will be heading back to Gold. and then there's Waffletown... not good enough for a post season ticket, but just average enough to stay clear of relegation
