SABR has discovered that the player shown in the facepack as Mike_J_Kelly is actually career minor leaguer (and Major League coach) Bernard Francis "Mike" Kelly. This photo shows the real Mike J. Kelly.

Ken Henderson 1965 - 1978 Mets Uniform
First time in this thread since my move; I want to thank TNFOTO for the links to Pegasus27's Batters and Pitchers packs, and I'll try to avoid duplicating his efforts from now on.
Ken Henderson was part of what the Mets received in the big 4-team trade after the 1977 season (John Milner and Bert Blyleven to Pittsburgh, Jon Matlack and Al Oliver to Texas, Jeff Burroughs to Atlanta, etc.), but he only played 7 games in a Mets uni before being shipped to Cincy. It's the only Henderson uniform not represented in the Batters pack. |

Al Levine 1996 - 2003 Devil Rays uniform
Levine is in the Pitchers Pack as an Angel and a Giant, but he pitched for several other teams.
Frustratingly, I could only find profile shots from his half-season in St. Petersburg. There is a head shot, but as it was just 65x90 I didn't download it, and now I can't find it again. Argh. |

In the Batters Pack as a Marlin/Red Sox/White Sox/Mariner, Carl was in Houston in 1998-1999. The latter year was his first 100-RBI season.

Carl Everett 1993 - Mets uniform
Carl was a Met from 1995-1997. Rube recently posted a Mets image in this thread, but the bat behind Carl's head in that shot sort of annoys my personal facepack aesthetics, so here's an alternative. Of course, this one isn't perfect either, what with the hand in front of the face, but it's a game shot, so I forgive those more readily. JMO.

An alternate Marlins image to what's in the Batters Pack; I was able to get in closer on the face and I think the colors are a bit better.
OTOH, there's a signature fragment on the sleeve. So, perhaps not to everyone's liking. |
