You select the .obj file not the .prk file.

When you go to manually import data.... you have to select the .prk file. The .obj does nothing. It will load the day & night picture along with the diagram but will not load the .obj 3D file. Many of the OOTP preloaded parks will load the obj/.pod file after selecting the .prk file.

I am not sure what you are talking about. You don't "import" Silvam's parks nor the ones of his that I added backgrounds to. You download the file(s) then extract them to the ballparks/models folder or extract them to a folder on your desk top to a folder and then copy them to the models folder. Once the park is extracted you can look in the folder and see the .obj file. When you are in the game and in the edit ball park edit section, you just select the park you downloaded from the Pictures & Coordinates tab, then 3D Select File then go down the list until you find the park you want, click on it and then click the .obj file. Each park must be in it's own folder and not in some other folder int the Models folder. It works fine.

I choose not to clutter my OOTP folders with files from others. Been doing it this way since OOTP 11. So I manually import data from file yada yada yada.

Trying to use 3D parks in OOTP 11 and/or not having the files where they belong is why it doesn't work. If you want to use Silvam's 3d parks with my backgrounds in OOTP 11 as 2D just select the N and/or D jpg for the parks. The prk file will load where it belongs.

Well, then I guess I don't understand your problem. Loading 2D jgs is easy and has nothing to do with .prk files.

Wondering why the .obj is not loaded when you select the .prk file like it is for OOTP parks like Wrigley, O,co, Yankee , etc.
After selecting the .prk file for say Comiskey Park 1986 the pics load as does the diagram but the .obj does not. i then have to go select that also.

You have to select the .obj file using 3D Model/select file and the park folder must be directly in the Models folder, i.e. not in some other folder in Models or elsewhere. It is as simple as that. If you don't do that, it won't work. That is how the program works. You will have to ask the developers why it is not the way you think it should be.

Screen shot me how to install a random park that is not already part of a league. So fictional league and i want to install say Comiskey Park 1986.
Adion you can create the heck out of a park but it seems like you do not know how to get a park to work in OOTP. I have been doing this since 11 and it has never failed. With 3D it';s the same process. Even with parks in the OOTP folder you still have to select the .prk to get the name and dimensions of the field itself. i can not select the .obj and have it change the name of the park + give me dimensions. All it gives me is 3D.

So i have SS'ed the proper way to install a park thats in any folder. It does not have to be in the OOTP folder. Show me how you install a park. Then I'll post mine. They will probably match. Only difference is OOTP real parks that ship with the game

Number 1: I do not make these parks, Silvam does. I just add backgrounds. Number 2: All of them work fine in OOTP 18. I tested them all.
Number 3:I changed the Boston park in my 1949 league to Fictional Park 12 as in your photos. As you can see from the in-game photo it works fine. The only difference between your FP 12 and mine is that mine is the current version, v1_4. I updated all of Silvam's Parks with new or improved backgrounds & 3D crowds some time ago and they are located here:

Ficitional: https://www.mediafire.com/folder/07a...D_Crowds_v1%2B

Historic: https://www.mediafire.com/folder/0q4...D_Crowds_v1%2B

OOTP 18 provided parks with changed signage: https://www.mediafire.com/folder/c14...th_new_signage

Number 4: You can see in the second photo where and how the parks must be located in order for them to work in 3D. (Look at the top C:/ line.)

Number 5: You can see in the third photo what comes up when you select a park to use for a team. This is where you select the .obj file.

Number 6: You can see in the fourth photo how/where you select a 3D park for a team. This is also where you can select the 2D day and night photos as well as the diagram photo. The .prk file contains the park data and is loaded automatically when you select a park. To the best of my knowledge, Silvam has added .prk files for all of his parks.

These parks work fine. I use them all the time. If yours don't work it is because you don't have them in the correct location and/or are not selecting the .obj file (.pod for OOTP provided parks) or your park files or the game file are corrupted.

Other than the above, I don't know what to tell you!

There is an AT&T park in OOTP18 and, I am sure, there will be one in 19.

I have done and update to the 18 parks giving them new signage. If you don't have the link, let me know.

Here's the link. You also have to replace the OOTP 18 advertising folder with the one on the download page. I would rename advertising folder for the 18 version. Remember, if there ever is another update to 18, it will over write my Advertising folder. So you need to rename it before installing the update and the rename it Advertising after the update is installed. There is a read me.

With the older stadiums there is a .prk file and folders to edit signs and stuff...how would I do it with the newer stadiums like for 18?

I don't understand either question. The historical park folder is unzipped/unpacked into the Models folder. Each park is a folder unto itself. You can either unpack them directly to the Models folder or sometime else, e.g. your desktop and then move them to the Models folder. When you are in the game you have to link the parks for the historical year you are playing to the applicable teams in the edit park section using 3D select file you find the park for that time, e.g. if you are playing 1948 for Fenway you would go down the list and pick Fenway_Park_1940-1956_v1_4, then you select the .obj file. Once you have that selected you may want to select daytme, night and diagram pictures from that file on the same screen. There is no .pod for the Silvam's parks. The park is selected with the .obj.

I hope this helps. Maybe I don't understand what you are asking.
