I figured out the solution based on the info from your post about jpg vs png files.
I went to the fenway texture folder that i have the issue with and edited the scoreboard file from jpg to png.
then went to the mtl file and changed the text for the same file to png.
The in-game scoreboard now is correct.

I will have to manually review the photo of the ballpark to match what texture to change by its name, but the solution worked for me with just changing 2 scoreboard textures from jpg to png,so I assume it will change all the black boxes to the correct texture after I do.

Hope this helps !

I don’t understand what could be happening with jpgs versus png, but I can assure you that I test my parks to make sure there are no black textures. I can’t see how they are fine for me and I most others and not for some.

OK, yes. I had tried the lazy version of this before I posted, which was to just go into the textures folder and change the extension from jpg to png (and make the corresponding change to the mtl file). That didn't work. But now after reading your post, I tried opening the jpg in Paint, doing a Save As to a png and making the corresponding change to the mtl file, and that worked. Odd, but I'll take it.

And silvam, I have no doubt that you test things thoroughly. You're the man and your stadiums are gorgeous. Just one of those weird things I guess. I'm just happy to have a Miller Park model that isn't the inaccurate one that came with the game.

It's not an issue on your end. your stadiums are excellent. I'm assuming it is because i am using ootp 19 and not ootp21 which you are creating these for and testing them in 21. It only has been an issue on fenway and cbp for some reason, all the others have been fine.

Hi wonderful work!!!
I subscribed via steam workshop.
Installed using OOTP Workshop link.
I see all the folders created under the ballparks folder in steam file path.
I fired up baltimore 1954 i imported file just fine.
But for all my ballparks the 3d model does not show.
Default model show...I am doing something incorrect?

It seems i have to load the 3d model separately?
Is there a way to load both at the same time?

Something might be wrong with the prk file. You should be able to manually find the obj file for that stadium and load it

I enjoyed playing in T-Mobile Park yesterday! Since you're getting the hang of the retractable roof stadiums, do you think you'll do Minute Maid Park soon?

By the way Silvam,

I've been playing the Indians through the 80s in my spare time, and using your Cleveland Municipal Stadium models have made this so much more enjoyable.

The last few years have been difficult for our family due to some health issues, and OOTP and your additions to the game have helped us to get through it.

I'd like to go in and make a tweaks to my personal copies of Cleveland Stadium if I could use your sketchup file... just to change the seat colors. Are the sketchup files (or "heavy" version of the file) still available? I seem to only be able to find the lite versions.

The seats in the stadium are red and yellow, and (since yellow seats with 3D crowds are not available) I thought it would be fun to add the empty yellow set textures to the upper and lower desks, because they were almost always empty during my childhood growing up in Cleveland.

Here's a good example of a typical crowd in the 70s, 80s and early 90s:

Thanks for your kind words. Unfortunately. You can only have one seat color for all of the stands in a park. It can either be red, blue, grey, or green. That should save you some work.

As far as progressive goes. I’ll let you know.

Just want to say though that whatever those new party boxes are in right field are UGLY. what do tribe fans think?

The new upper deck in right at Progressive Field is awful! To call it ugly is being kind.

However, after more than 20 years working as a sportswriter, I have spent the last 2 working PR for a law firm in downtown Cleveland –*McDonald Hopkins –*which has one of those large ads in right field. So, it is kind of cool to see that logo show up on home runs to right center.

Here is an early stage progress report on progressive field.

The Upper section and the lower level are two different files at the moment.

Hello sir,

Thanks for all of the incredible work bringing accurate renditions of the 'Stick to Bay Area fans. Would it be possible for you to provide a mod for the 1979-1999 version (or split into a 1979-1992 version)? The solid-green outfield fences and bleachers were added for the 1993 season but there was just a chain-link fence until 1992, minus the bleachers and the extra NFL seats attached to the upper deck in center field you delightfully added in the 1993+ version.

This view I describe can be mostly obtained by using your 1970-78 version, but that one is only with the Astroturf field. Also the capacity was 62,000 at that time, so with attendance at 'full' the upper deck should have fans all around.

Much appreciated!

Thanks for the Progressive Field Love!

Great news that you are tackling Progressive Field next. Life long Tribe fan that first saw games at old Cleveland Stadium in the early 70's. Lots of empty seats back then for sure, and I too remember the colors very clearly, but we also had the once a year opening day or fireworks crowd that topped 60 or 70 thousand as well. Great memories and your model of that old ballpark is just awesome!

The right field makeover for Progressive Field is not all that pretty to look at, but I have actually seen a few games from there and it is a rather unique experience. They dropped their attendance capacity by about 10,000 when they made the transformation about five or so years ago and the overall feel of the park is now very user friendly with plenty more public spaces where fans can congregate, stand and wander without being tied to a seat.

The center field bullpens are an incredible place to watch a game from if you can get a seat near them or in the rows that are between the pens and the field.

Do you plan on doing the original park configuration as well - before they completed their makeover? Either way your models are to me - the best addition available to the game. I am in the midst of a 1990 season as the Indians - which started several game versions ago for the 1987 season (taking over the team when Dick Jacobs purchased them) and I can not wait to "open" the new park when I get to my 1994 season.

Following this thread is very much like the anticipation I used to get leading up to Christmas morning.... thank you for that and for bringing such enjoyment to myself and everyone else who no doubt spends hours reliving our childhood or adult memories of the old and modern parks!!!
