Marc Okkonen in his book Baseball Memories 1900-09 depicts a 1901 team photo in pre season, most of the players require identification, but knowing the skills of some of the contributors to this site that may well be achievable. There are also numerous individual photos and a 1902 shot of 7 identified Orioles. The only reservation I would have is that the photo quality could be better.

Of course Marc is the author of the information depicted on the Hall Of Fame Uniform Database web site.

The Giants are the only one of Scoop's 7 teams not represented in the Batters Pack; this completes Al's set. Not the best quality image, as for some unknown reason shrinkpictures.com pixelated the facepack image when I tried to shrink it, but better than nothing.

I wanted to get rid of the signature (as you can see, I came in very close on the facepack image in order to work around it), but I really don't know how. How does one do that?

Terry Cox made only three ML appearances, all in September 1970. Here is his picture in the Pitchers Pack.



As you can see, it's from a farther angle than we'd like for the size, and appears to be a poor-quality reproduction of a larger original.

So pegasus27 was apparently looking for a better option, and in June he found and posted this image (page 515 of the thread):



A damn good picture. Only problem is that Cox is wearing the wrong hat. The lowercase "a" shows that this picture is from 1971 Spring Training. (And late in the camp at that; I have a bit of a fascination with the '71 [Slipped] Halos, and I spent some time looking for lowercase pics of Tony Conigliaro [aside from the one in the Batters Pack]; most of Tony's Angels images show him wearing the 1970 uniform during Spring Training; apparently Cox got his lowercase-"a" hat just before he got his ticket to Salt Lake City.)

So, for the sake of…well, myself, and any other obsessives who think it's incredibly important to have the Terry Coxes of the world wearing their proper hats, I present the original of the Pitchers Pack image in three sizes. Unfortunately the watermark comes right up to Cox's chin , but at least he's wearing the right hat.

Here are a couple of alternates, sans auto. For autograph removal or other touch-up, you might try tools like Photoshop or Paint.Net (freeware), or even Snagit Editor.

As mentioned upthread, I went looking for more shots of Tony C. in 1971 (lowercase) Angels gear and, really, didn't find much. Herewith my meager bounty:




No, you can't see the lowercase "a" (or "angels") in the second picture (and barely in the first). I simply included the second picture because I like the "Tony C." on Conigliaro's back; apparently in 1971 there wasn't any regulation about being cutesy like that. (In Wilt Chamberlain's first autobiography, there's a picture of him dunking on Elvin Hayes, who simply has "E" [including the quotation marks] on his uni's back.) I doubt that would be allowed now, though.
