I hate to be picky Edster but its the Silly Mad Brewers just like the Boston Red Socks and not like the New York Yankees. Named after the Mad Brewers brewery not after the MLB team.

Ouch
My worst ever month in PT, even if we win that game against Texarcana! However, clinging on to a lead in the OL head to head.
Paxville 9-6 Texarcana 9-10 Cedar Rapids 4-6 In another bit of trivia that I realized yesterday - So far in PT22, the only day that I've failed to win a single pack was... my birthday in April . What are the chances of that??

Bronze
Coney Island still leads but that lead has been shrinking daily. Too many scenarios with 54 OL games on tap today. Cleveland, with only six games can put themselves in the drivers seat if they can win four of them. The Warriors would have to go 11-4 and that would be a dead heat at .640 and they would go to the tie breakers. Third place Port Ruppert with only two games remaining is a bit behind the 8 ball and will need some help.
I added an OL games remaining column. There are a few teams, if they get hot and get help can get in the thick of it. In PT play: Coney Island, Port Ruppert and Silly are likely division winners. In the AC Gettysburg is in a battle for a WC 1.5 games back and in the NC Cleveland is 2.5 behind in their division while clinging to the second WC with .5 game lead over the Tacoma Aroma (wasn't there an OL team with that name a couple of years back?) and Boston one game behind. Currently South Holland is the only team in the relegation zone but Sugar Hill, New York and Baltimore are just clear and will have to work today to stay in bronze next week. |

Not picky at all, don't be silly. I corrected it. It sort of reminds me of when Tampa Bay played in Green Bay and they put Tampa on the scoreboard. Next time the Packers played in Tampa Bay, the Bucs put "Green" on the scoreboard.

I don't recall getting any packs at mid-day, so I guess the rest of your team took care of business. |

Need some advice
After five weeks, I checked in on my other teams, to find that I could buy some packs. The most interesting thing is that they were both in R57 with the OL gang.
Anyway, I don't really want to mess with them for another month, at least, and my first pack had a 100 Trout in it. Am I correct in assuming he will remain there? I'd like to keep him, but not at the risk of his dropping to diamond. Also, should I worry about 92 Kershaw, and 92 Corey Seager dropping to gold? I'd hate to come back in a month and see their values plummet. I don't have a handle at all on how OOTP does their ratings. Thanks. |

Silver league update:
Annandale maintains the lead heading into the stretch run. Overall, the Atom Smashers hold an 8.5 game lead over Boulder City for their division lead. Algoma is tied for the division lead on their side. Waffletown sits 7.5 games back in third place, but just a half game out of a WC spot (if they could beat freakin' Kenner they'd be in a better position but starting out 0-10 against them didn't do us any favors)

Nice job upgrading, everyone!
Annandale has been pretty quiet, I’ve been saving my PP to complete the perfect Piazza. I’m very close, to the point where I just need one more card and I’m going to hold out for Charles Johnson. That means I probably don’t have quite enough to finish the mission today but it will happen soon. The tournament scene has been quiet. I went through a couple days where my bronze team wasn’t bringing in many packs. So I decided to move to Silver. That wasn’t much better but I feel like I finally have a handle on it so I am more confident how I will do going forward. I’ve been getting a few relatively good drops from packs but it seems like every time I get a decent card it’s either part of a BAL mission or a live card that I think might get promoted at the end of month so I say to myself “I should hold onto this.” So getting cards but not getting PP! like previously said, Trout is safe. probably the safest perfect out there. He is also one of the few playable lives. I'm holding/playing him on another team. IIRC, he is also injured & injured players don't move. I'd usually sell anyone 1-2 pts just above the bump before the update if I wasn't 100% sure (unless I really like them). too much risk/loss from that drop from diamond to gold. I'm also never banking a large amount of PP so I can't take the risk.

I think players that only got injured recently could still get quite a bit of change to their ratings. I definitely noticed that with the 1st update.

Rookie 57 standings
August was a slow month, OL wise, in Rookie, with only 8 total games between the teams. LabRats hold what this commentator hopes is a commanding lead, especially that 5 game difference in the loss column.
In the playoff look, Labrats and Daytona Beach both still hold spots, while the Legends and the Sunday Drivers both will need a bit of a miracle month to make any noise.

Southpaws will win OL crown in G304
Well, there are still four OL games to be played in G304 (Cary vs. Nowhere), but they are irrelevant to the OL standings. Cary will win and it isn't close:
Cary: 18-4 Lemp Ave.: 0-0 Nowhere: 7-15 HeithWyzer: 4-10

Route 66 Drives Towards Stone Title
Route 66 is still in front in OL St160, while Hartford retains a mathematical possibility of overtaking them.
Overall, Route 66 is the only playoff team in Stone. Hartford is on the edge of relegation, while the other two teams are definitely headed to Rookie ball. |

Magic Number at 2* for Inland Empire
Inland Empire is on the brink of a OL I205 title, with their magic number at 2* for clinching ahead of Asheboro. The Wranglers, despite a mediocre overall record, have ruled in OL play.
Asheboro and Bluffton are currently in playoff position, with Keystone just outside. Shinbone and West Burlington will be relegated. * If my calculations are correct. |

Waffletown signed a new reliever for the bullpen (twitch drop pack pull). Joining the squad:
90 - Enrique Romo (1977) Mike Maddux will be sent to the reserves to make room. While Romo's control gives a bit of pause, management hopes his overpowering stuff will help him blow through opponents. |

The Nowhere Men are pleased to announce the acquisition of BAL target Craig Biggio.
While there are rumors that not all in the front office are enamored over the move, everyone surely recognizes his worth in backing up C, CF & 2B while also being a capable bat/pinch runner/sparkplug. Heavy Johnson has been carrying quite a load so having Biggo to spell both him & Piazza behind the plate may prove valuable during the dog days of summer. "I've always liked Biggio" remarked the manager Ian Iachimoe. "the guy is a gamer". Jason Isringhausen was an unfortunate casualty of the move & the Nowhere Men wish him the best. "Izzy was great for us, but you can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs".

The Men would also like to take this time to announce the retirement of George Cutshaw.
When we first joined the OL, we poked around the AH for historical players & happened to stumble upon him. Loving his skillset at first glance, He was everything we expected & more - sticking around a lot longer than expected & becoming a fan favorite. One of the better under-5K acquisitions I can remember in a long time. Cutshaw will stay in shape & we'll keep his locker empty. "In & around Nowhere, he will always be remembered".
