Lost by 2nd round KO to Johnny Barrazza in both fighters initial bouts in August 1962. We don't see Watts show up again in Boxrec until Sept 1967 when he looses a 4 round decision to Eddie Roosevelt Jr. In March 1968 he wins for the first and only time, a 2nd round KO of one Ronnie Williams(2-9-0,1). After that it was one fight and one loss a year in 1969, 70 and 71. The fight in 1969 was a 1st round KO by Bobo Renfrow.

After starting off his career with a 2nd round KO of Ernie Watts, Barrazza then lost three straight fithts, twice to Dick Wipperman and then to Willie Williams. In August 1963, Barrazza stopped James J. Beattie by 5th round TKO. Beattie had been knocked down once when referee Arthur Mecante stopped the bout. After a couple wins over Josef Syoz(1-10-2,1) and Celio Turrini(15-8-2,9), he lost fights to Jose Angel Manzur and Lee Carr. Barrazza managed only four more wins in his career over a Teddy Burns, Sonny Andrews, Wiley (Willie) Johnson and Frank Bullard.

Losses were against Everett Copeland, Jean-Claude Roy, Vic Brown, Buster Mathis, James J. Beattie, Dick Hall, Vic Brown, Jerry Tomasetti and Charley Chase. The last 6 losses, 4 by KO the other two by early round TKO. BoxRec notes that in the 2nd loss to Vic Brown in Feb 1968, after the bout was stopped in the 2nd round, Barrazza broke away from his handler and charged across the ring towards Brown. Brown decked Barrazza again with a booming right hand. Barrazza still wanted to continue but was restrained.

Croxon managed to stay on his feet for the most part is about all you can say. He was stopped 1 time in a fight, a 1st round KO by middleweight Yvon Turenne(23-10-2,11) when Croxon was fighting in that lower weight class. Other noteable opponents included losses to MW Marcel Piau(13-3-0,6), LHW Burke Emery(45-15-3,15), MW's Doug Odo(14-12-1,6) and Ron Brothers(15-7-0,11) and HW's Larry Renaud(19-19-0,7), Leslie Borden, Teddy Burns, and Bill Drover twice. The two wins Croxon managed came in consecutive fights in August and October 1966 against Vic Brown and Tony Ventura.

Hogan started out his career with 5 straight wins in 1967, the first two over Danny Swears(3-14-1,1). Then in December 1967 he fought Woody Goss(6-5-0,3) who was Joe Frazier's first opponent and victory back in 1965. Goss knocked Hogan down in the 2nd and 5th rounds on the way to an 8th round TKO of Hogan.

Hogan showed modest success over the next couple of years wiht wins over Bob Hazelton, Tony Burwell, Jim Christopher, Mike Bruce, Al Sparks and Rene Durelle. He lost one fight in that span, to Burwell. Then in Sept and October 1969 he lost consecutive fights to Bill Drover both by earl round knockouts. That stopped Hogan's career dead in it tracks until he shows up for a 3 round TKo victory in August 1974 over Reggie Fleming(4-16-0,2).

Was disqualified in 4th round for elbowing, heeling and holding against Frank Bullard in his first fight in July 1967. Next lost a 6 round decision to Tommy Burns in May 1968, won 1st round TKO over Tom Quick(1-3-0,0) in December 1968, then lost by 1st round and 2nd round KO's to Billy Morris(13-1-0,9KO) and Paul Nielsen(13-15-1,9KO) in Jan and March 1969. That's it for Milne except for a 1st round KO(unconfirmed by boxrec) to a Gaston Berube(5-2-0,5) in May 1980.

Four of his 7 losses Nelson was knocked out, a 5th one ended in a 1st round TKO. Started out being KO'd in the 3rd round by Tommy Burns in Sept 1966. He then lost to Wes Craven(6-3-0,4KO) in May 1967 before defeating Ken Davidson in June 1967 by 6 round decision. After that Boxrec shows no fights until 1971 and looses single fights in 71, 73, 74, 76 and 1980. The 1974 defeat was a 4th round KO by middleweight Mike Colbert.

Lost to Bill Drover by 6th round KO in June 1966, then two months later knocked out Cecil Gray in the 6th round. In December 1966 he fought Larry Renaud for 10 rounds only to loose on points. In 1967 Pilgrim was knocked out in fights by Jim Christopher and Bill Drover then finally he finished his brief career getting KO'd by Drover a 3rd time in April 1968.

BoxRec shows Renaud in the ring for the first time in November 1948 listed as a lightweight at 127 pounds fighting lightweight Joey Ortega(24-14-11,9). Ortega stopped Renaud in the 3rd round. We then pick up Renaud's career 12 years later in September 1960 when he faces off against LHW Herschel Jacobs who is starting off his career. Renaud wins the 6 round decision over Jacobs and then goes on to win two more 6 round decisions over Benito Favatto(7-6-0,2) and Bobby Croxon. After the Croxon fight, Renaud is absent from the ring for two years until Ocotber 1963 when he then looses two straight to Charlie Lee(1-10-1,0) and Jim Christopher in October 63 and October 1964. Finally in March 1965 he gets his up to then choppy career going stringing together 11 straight wins through September 1967. That string includes wins over Gordon Baldwin, Earl Pilgrim, Jean-Claude Roy twice, and Abe DAvis.

Then three days after beating Davis, on Sept 10th 1967 Renaud fights Bill Drover who is 3-2 in his early career. Those two fight a 10 rounder with Drover getting the decision. Renaud fights once more in 1967 getting stopped in the 1st round by Forest Ward(9-2-2,7) in Madison Square Garden. It's Renaud's first fight outside of Canada if you don't count that stint as a lighweight back in 48 which was held in Seattle, Washington. It's back to Canada then with two fights, both wins in 1968, one against Leslie Borden. Renaud then dissappears for 3-1/2 years.

Finally in June 1972 Renaud comes out of seclusion again to fight Bill Drover again. Drover stops Renaud at 2:07 of the 7th round. Including that fight on through the remainder of his career Renauld manages only a 3-14-0,1KO record as he takes on some better competition that he can't match up against. The only wins are over Jimmy(Red) Johnson and John L. Carter(8-5-1,5) twice. Losses mounted up against the likes of Richard Dunn, Roy Wallace, Boone Kirkman, James Helwig twice, Oscar Bonavena, Scott LeDoux, Leon Shaw(22-18-1,11), Randy Neumann and Alfio Righetti.

I sent up my earlier stuff to cornerwork back early this year. I've not sent anything since for much of what I've done this year. I could do that. I'll see if I can get them bunched together to send maybe in the next week.

I keep chipping away at these 1967 fighters. I've been surpised how many of these 1 fight, 2 fight career guys I've run across just in this one year. Appreciate all your contributions also!

Renaud was the last Canadian by the way that I have on my list. I got one Chilean fighter to do and then on to England.

Looses 5 of his first 6 fights getting stopped in 4 of them twice by Argentinean Andres Villalba. After a 10 round decision loss in March 1962, Urra wins for the 2nd time knocking out Juan Baylon in 4 rounds in June 1962. Then his record show no more fights for almost 3 years when in March 1965 he shows up to fight Rosendo Calquin for the Chilean HW Title knocking out Calquin in the 8th round. The two fight a rematch for the title that December and Urra KO's Calquin again. That's it for Urra though except for a 1st round KO at the hands of Luis Pires in November 1967 and a 2nd round KO handed to him by Santiago Lovell in October 1969.

Allen fights in England through up through 1969 before he moves on down under to finish the later part of his career. His career started out 4-16-0. His only wins were against Tommy Woods and Dave Barber in 1966 and then won 2 straight fights in 1968 by disqualification of his opponents. He lost three fights to Derek Groombridge while also loosing to Vic Moore, Jimmy Tibbs, Johnny Ould, Barber and Woods to name some we've seen rated into the game. From 1969 through to Sept 1972 he manages to put together a 6-5-0 record against no one you've probably heard off. After loosing a 10 round decision in Sept. 1973 to a Greg NcNamara(30-13-5,4), Vernon steps out of the ring for 3 years before coming back in November 1975 winning a 6 round decision against I.M.Gentle(Like that handle?!) and then an 8 round decision against Hunter McHugh(13-7-5,7). In April 1976 he fights a Sentiki Qata for the vacant New South Wales Heavyweight Title. Qata wins the 10 round decision.

Vernon then disappears from the boxing scene again, this time for over 5-1/2 years before staging a 3rd comeback in November 1981. Over the next 5 month period he looses a 6 round decision to Kevin Wagstaff, fights a draw with an Alan Black and then in April 1982 Wagstaff KO's Allen to send him into retirement for good.

In his first career fight in April 1967 Feeley was stopped in the 3rd round by Barry Rodney(4-14-4,2). That was followed by four more bouts in 1967, a 1st round KO of Robin Webb, a 3round decision loss to Phil Watford, a 1st round KO of Mick Carter(2-8-5,0) and a 5th round stoppage of Bernard Pollard(2-4-0,1). Feeley started out 1968 in February loosing a 6 round decision to Dennis Avoth. He then strung together 6 wins before finishing 1968 with a 3rd round TKO loss to Peter Boddington who was 10-0-0 at the time. The 6 win streak included victories over Billy Wynter and Obe Hepburn.

That loss to Boddington was the beginning of the end though of Feeley's career as he lost 4 out his next 5 bouts fighting infrequently over the next 3 years. He lost fights to Joe Bugner, Dennis Avoth, Alan Burton(9-1-0,5) and Albert Austin(6-13-0,4). His only win was over Dave Parris(24-30-7,4). In January Feeley ko'd Tommy Hanson(0-1-0) in the first round of an open heavyweight competition. Feeley then lost by 4th round TKO in the semi Final round of that competition to George Gray(35-37-3,10). Feeley fought one more time, in November 1973 knocking out his opponent.

Knocked out Wally Dorman(0-3-0,0) twice in 1966, first time in the 1st round 2nd time in the 2nd round. Fought to an 8 round draw with Barry Rodney(2-14-4,2) in January 1967. Stopped Jim Mcllvaney in March of 67 then Mayberry was stopped in the 3rd round by Bernard Pollard in May. Ian fought one more time, being KO'd in the 2nd round by Leon Smart(2-4-0,2) in Feb 1968.

Won a 3 round decision over Jack Charles(0-2-0,0) and a 2nd round TKO over Ian Mayberry(3-2-1,3) both on the same day on May 11th 1967. A month later he looses a 6 round decision to Phil Watford and follows that with a 5th round TKO loss to Terry Feeley in September 1967. Pollard next fights Terry Daly in Jan 1968, with Daly stopping Pollard in the 2nd round. The next month Pollard fights one more time, getting stopped in the 3rd round by Bunny Johnson who is fighting for the 2nd time in his career.

Watford started out his career fighting as a Heavyweight winning decisions over Derek Groombridge in October 1966 and winning a 6 round decision over Mick Carter(2-8-5,0) in December. Watford followed that up with wins over Doyle Brown, Terry Feeley, Tommy Blackburn and Bernard Pollard in 1967, all heavyweight opponents. Then in 1968 he moved down fighting mostly light heavies the rest of his career.

He won 6 more fights to run his record to 13-0-0 through 1968. Wins included over Clive Tranter and a 10 round decison over Bob Nicholson in November 1968 for the BBBofC Southern Area Light Heavyweight Title. Watford's career then turned southward quickly after that. In March 1969 he was knocked out in the 4th round by heavyweight Frank Poleon. Watford then lost his LHW title to Dickie Owens via 4th round TKO in June 1969. Watford then fought 4 times in 1970 with a 1-2-1 results. After a year and a half layoff he fought one more time in June 1972 winning a 6 round decision over middleweight Gerald Gooding(21-29-3,3).

Enifer won 8 out of 10 fights with wins over Tony Ratcliffe(13-14-0,9KO), Fred Kaho(6-6-0,6KO), Steve Walsh(9-9-0,3KO), Jim Monaghan(6-10-3,0KO), Ray Shiel, Billy Wynter and Dave Ould(22-11-0,4KO). Losses were to Aly Roye(13-10-0,7KO) and Carl Gizze(17-0-0 at the time). The win over Ould in March 1966 was in something called the PHillips Electric Heavyweight Competition. Then in May in the final for that competition Enifer lost a 6 round decision to Billy Gray.

Four months later in September 1966, Enifer traveled to Verona, Italy to take on up and coming Italian Heavyweight, Giuseppe Ros(13-0-0 at the time). Enifer was apparently no match for the Italian as Ros knocked out Roy in the 2nd round. Back to England went Enifer where he won 8 round decisions over Ron Gray(19-24-2,9KO) and Dave Ould in November and December 1966. He followed that with an 8 round decision over Fench LHW Jo Juvillier in January 1967. Enifer and Ould squared off one more time in May 1967 for the the vacant BBBofC Southern Area Heavyweight Title. Enifer took the 10 round decision.

A one fight trip to Germany in Feb 1968 where Enifer was KO'd in the 1st round by Peter Weiland was followed with an 8 round decision in Dec 1968 over Rocky Campbell. In May 1969 he fought an 8 round draw with Johnny Prescott. Two fights in 1970 then finished Enifer's career, both with wins actually, a 6 round decision over Jan Lubbers and a 5th round KO of Hans Jorgen Jacobsen.

From February 1960 on thru November 1964 Ould compiled a 19-2-0 record recoding the only 4 stoppages in his whole career. He topped off that streak with win number 19 over Len Hobbs(50-1-0,2KO) to win the BBBofC Southern Area Heavyweight Title.Earlier wins in that time period were ones over Eric Fearon(12-12-2,6KO) and Johnny Barday(9-9-0,0KO) to win a Heavyweight novice tournament. He also defeated LHW Tommy Leroy(23-17-1,10KO), Ron Gray twice, Ray Shiel twice and Al Roye(13-10-0,7KO). The only losses in this time were to a Johnny Gleed(7-5-0,1) in July 1960 and an 8 round decision loss to Jack Bodell in March 1963. Bodell was 13-1-0 at the time.

With some tougher competition coming his way after the Hobbs victory, things went sour for Ould as he managed only a 3-9-0 record over the rest of his career in the next 3-1/2 years. Losses mounted up against Jack Bodell(by DQ), Carl Gizzi, Giuseppe Ros, Roy Enifer three times, Raimo Nisula, Hans Jorgen Jacoben, and Rudolph Vaughan(12-12-0,10KO). His three wins came against Giancarlo Bacchini, George Dulaire and Charlie Wilson(8-15-2,2KO) in OUld's last career fight in May 1968.

Gray's first couple of years were against lighter class Middleweights and CW/LHW's during which his record was only a modest 6-4-0,1KO. Starting in 1960 he moved on up to the heavyweight division where he fought similar opponents for the rest of his career. The more noteable wins were against Eric Fearon(12-12-2,6KO), Sid Cain(14-20-2,7KO) whom he also fought 1 draw with, Len Rocky James, Billy Wynter, and vic Moore.

His losses piled up more numerous against the likes of Fearon, Ken Potter(14-2-1,8KO) twice, Lars Olov Norling, Peter Bates, Jack Bodell by DQ, LHW Tommy Leroy(23-17-1,10), Dave Ould twice, once by DQ, Tony Smith(14-9-0,4KO) by DQ, Ray Shiel by 2nd round KO. Freddy Mack by DQ, Rudolph Vaughan twice by KO, Jack Bodell again in a 10 round Decision, Ray Shiel and Carl Gizzi both in 5th round stoppages, Roy Enifer, Rocky Campbell and Roger Tighe. That 10 rounder loss to Bodell in January 1965 was for the BBBofC Midlands Area Heavyweight Title.

His last fight was a 4th round TKo loss to Rudolph Vaughan in early March 1967.

For Vaughan is was knockout or be knocked out with 10 stoppages in 12 victories and stopped 10 times in 12 losses in his career. He started out in 1963 and 1964 with 6 straight KO/TKO victories including over Gerry Hassett, Ron Gray, Ray Shiel and Eric Fearon. then March 1965 he was knocked out in the 2nd round by Jack Bodell. After a 4th round TKO victory over a Herbet Cheetham who was making his inaugeral fight in a breif 2 fight career, Vaughan then lost an 8 round decision to Billy Gray before getting stopped by Rond Redrup and Gray in his only fight in 1966 in January.

Vaughan then did not fight for over a year until March 1967 when he stopped Ron Gray in 4. A month later he won an 8 round decision over Ron Redrup and then in October 1967 stopped Dave Ould in the 4th round. Vaughan then lost two straight fights to Rocky Campbell, the first by 8 round decision the 2nd by KO. In April and June 1968 he won a decision over Vic Moore and KO'd Hans Jorgen Jacobsen. After that Vaughan could not win or even finish a fight as he lost 6 consecutive fights by TKO against Jacobsen, Roger Tighe, Joe Bugner, Terry Daly, Peter Boddington and LHW Don Halden(8-9-1,4KO).
