Nice job! We got everybody in, including Hamtramck. Welcome! OOTP, unless they do that schedule change thing they sometimes do between now and the start, has left some teams out in the cold. In silver, Port Ruppert will not defend last season's crown as a lone AC outpost only scheduled for four games. In gold, Asylum will also not be eligible for the crown chase.



I will cover silver, but would appreciate it if someone could step up to do do gold. In a pinch, I can get it it.

Well, the OOTP gods have deemed it practical again to put BFF teams and OL teams together in Diamond. Either somebody in OL has got one or more BFF teams on their friend's list, .... or, the scheduling algorithm for OOTP first does friend's grouping, trying to combine whereever possible, and then adds in other teams.
The OL teams had a rough go of it last season against BFF teams (they walloped us by a considerable margin), so it might be another rough one. Be prepared to face many lefty SPs.

I was wondering the same thing. There's a few OL people who are part of the BFF group, so it could be that, or, my guess, is that the algorithm looks to put groups of people together with other groups. It's what I saw in PT20. If I had ~4 or 5 on my friends, I'd get put with groups of 4 or 5 others. Purely anecdotal, but just guessing it's more to do with the algorithm.

Wasn't around yesterday since it was my son's first birthday, but congrats to Cary Southpaws on the OL Diamond win. Looks like the Rangers lost out in the CS to the eventual Diamond WS winners who were promoted to Perfect.

So... there are a whopping 9 OL teams in Diamond this season, which is great. Unfortunately, seven of the nine are in the NL, with only two (Hidden Valley and Highland) in the AL.

However, there is enough interleague play to ensure that all OL teams will compete for the title this season. I waited until after the first sim to check schedules since they often change at that point. By my count, Hidden Valley has 14 OL games, and Highland 17.

By the way, welcome to Hamtrack! I am very pleased to see that you put the - OL in your team name. One more thing: if you could change your abbreviation to include a + sign it makes it much easier to check schedules and so forth (all the other OL teams have a + sign in their abbreviation).

In a fairly light OL schedule that saw two teams still on the sidelines, the Red Menace and Syrups jumped out first to share the top spot. The sideline is where Port Ruppert will sit for nearly the entire season. The schedule did indeed change after the first sim. The Mundys went from 4 OL games to 3, and will only emerge for a single series.


I PT play, the league seems very competitive, with the teams closely packed. Waffletown and Bluffton are both NC division leaders. A measure of the closeness of the teams is the fact that Terra Incognita, though in the top relegation spot, is only 3-1/2 games out of the wild card. All other OL teams are closer than that.
