Guys, question regarding Ballpark Factors...

Are those just numbers reflecting the dimensions of the park? (with weather effects brought in possibly...)

Or do these numbers actually alter overall hits , like HRs, in the game...

Reason I ask, is I just noticed the ballpark factors that come up for Coors Field 2018 (gorgeous as usual), after I "auto-calculate" them (which I am SUPPOSED to be doing right?), show HR factors of less than .800...

This might make sense based on the sheer size of the park, but it's still a launching pad for HRs, so those HRs seem low, lower than many other parks...

Should I be adjusting those factors so I don't get numbers as if they were playing in the Grand Canyon? Or are they just informational and don't affect the game engine?

Park factors are extremely important if you're looking for "realism", which I think we all are... Anything under 1.000 is better for Pitchers. Anything above 1.000 is better for Hitters. For instance, a 0.800 for Home Runs means at Coors Field means you don't get many home runs in that park, which we all know is horse manure.

Make sure to set the exact year you're aiming for from the drop-down. You'll see that Coors Field most certainly was not 0.800 for HRs in 2018. My guess is that Auto-Calculate is based on field dimensions with no regard for elevation and such.

Your newest stadiums is amazing! Every little thing looks perfect. I love all your stadiums and I consider myself extremely lucky to be able to play all of my historical games in the proper stadium or proper layout for the era. You bring so much enjoyment to my OOTP experience! Thank you for continuing to do these stadiums for us. I hope i made sense. Here is an earlier version of Globe Life Park under the original name

Not much of a change except a few feet in the left field fence and the area beyond CF is different. Plus the main scoreboard.

Note: After uploading, I saw an issue with globe life park the way the dirt and warning track texture is displayed. Can anyone confirm the same? Looks like it is using the crowd texture in it's place

Edit: I think I fixed it. Re-uploading the new version.

I've downloaded Globe life park about 5 am. Checking it out now and it looks fine to me. Both the infield dirt and warning track look the same texture. I do not see any crowd texture in it's place. Looks great. Hope this helps. Terrific job again as always.

Hi.
I would like to add Historical Stadiums to my OOTP 21.
I've tried and it says "file not found or no read permission" .
Is it possible to add Historical Stadiums to OOTP 21 ?

I have had the same problem with his uploads that he had completed for historical stadiums prior to 2020. He has been busy making several of the historical stadiums now for OOTP 21. When you download the file for the stadium see when the fiIe was created and those that work are dated 2020. I have been doing this as soon as master artist/creator Silvam releases his newly historic revised stadium. He has been redoing a bunch of them that work in OOTP 2021 and most recently he has uploaded the Globe Life Park stadium, Turner Field, 3 Candlestick Park versions etc etc. You can just scroll through this thread to March 2020 and find these new ones and download them from the post or go to his list at the beginning of this thread but when you do the latter you need to make sure the file was created in 2020! I found my older historical stadiums that worked in OOTP 20 don't transfer over and you get that result that you earlier mentioned. I posted your same question and got no answer but his newest historical stadiums in 2020 are many and they are even an improvement from the ones he created in the past I used in OOTP 20. Silvam gets better and better! AS FOR THE PROCESS to load these new versions into your game follow his instructions that he has posted which apply to his 2020 modern stadiums he has modded. Same process!

I still cannot get older ballparks to work with OOTP 21.
My laptop is over 5 years old. My winzip might need an upgrade or I just don't know how to do this. I tried Tigers Stadium and it wouldn't work.
I'm simming 1964,what a great season. My sim has been very exciting and I wanted to add ball parks from that year.
What silvam14 and Adion have done is incredible. The ballparks are
beautiful. I wish I knew how to all that but I wouldn't have a clue.
Hopefully someday we will have a large inventory of ballparks from many different seasons. Having the accurate ballpark helps bring the game to life.

Curious to know what you mean by this. I think I have virtually re-created almost every configuration of each park in history (except pre-1900) is there something else you were looking for?

Not sure...maybe he means separate groups of files collated with the appropriate parks for each individual season?
