We have reached the halfway point in the season. Pretty good spread with most teams playing about a third of their games vs. OL teams. Small sample size shows Highland on top at 4-2. Highland gets in some OL action today so we will see if they can hold off Weston Pointe.

In PT play we have more OL teams in the, or hovering just above the relegation zone then we have in playoff contention.

Syrups Ride Hot Streak to Top of OL S255

Waffletown got after it full bore and ripped off an 11-2 OL record to grab the lead. The Syrups have 10 OL games remaining, so can probably earn the crown with a solid performance over that span. It will take a major stumble and another team catching fire at this point.

In PT play, Waffletown's strong play carried them to the best record in the league. Port Ruppert is tied for first in the AC east, while, in the NC, Left Coast is 1 game back of the wild card, Terra Incognita 1-1/2, and Bluffton 2-1/2 back of the wild card. Redmond is in the relegation zone.

Brigadoon tops Gold

Gold won't have many OL games played so teams have to take advantage of their light schedule. Brigadoon has done just that, winning six of their eight OL games. Therefore they sit atop the Gold rankings. Given so few OL games this year, any team that gets hot has a chance to take the lead so this race won't be over until the end of the season.

At the midpoint Brigadoon and Krikkit are in the AC and NC wild card chases respectively. None of the other teams are pushing for playoff spots, though there are still plenty of games to play. Nobody appears in danger of relegation right now.

The Raccoon's still lead the way. They have only three OL games remaining and they are the first three today when they host the Bombers. If they take at least two of the three the bar will be set pretty high the teams chasing the crown. Despite going 6-7 yesterday Weston Pointe remains in second place.

LabRats Close Gap in OL S255

As though yesterday's post was a script, Waffletown dropped three of four to Left Coast and the race is now on for the OL crown. There seems little likelihood that another team can make a big enough run to join the chase.

In PT play, Left Coast was also on fire, going 18-6 to grab the top spot in the NC east. Waffletown continues to pace the NC Central. Bluffton is 1-1/2 back of the NC wild card, while Terra Incognita faded badly and needs a major hot streak to have any hopes. Norwood fought their way out of relegation. In the AC, Port Ruppert continues to sink, though very slowly, and now sits 1-1/2 out of the wild card.

G305 Update

Yesterday was a calm day in the OL Gold schedule. Annandale pulled into second place but Brigadoon held onto the top spot by not losing (... or playing) any OL games.

There will be more action today.

Some guy in discord was mentioning how Brigadoon always eliminates them from tournaments,

Bronze 202

A very light schedule this season for OL B202, but everyone WILL eventually have enough games to be eligible. To this point (midway through August on the schedule) K-Town has managed to grab the lead.

In non-OL play, 4 of the 6 teams are playoff eligible, with K-Town leading the AC and Jefferson Valley 4 games in front in the NC West. Ring Road and Hooterville are both in a wild card spot at present, though Ring Road has been struggling this month.

No OL team is currently in danger of relegation.

Coney Island won the super diamond today for 15 packs... keeping my fingers crossed for something good. Have been waiting for Sundays to open packs with a few second places they are at 21 packs this week. Jefferson Valley is sitting at 9 regular packs and Historical pack. gonna be a busy Sunday morning.

In another lightly-contested OL league, the Muse are on top. Vlora's opportunity to play other OL teams looks to be a short one, as they are currently poised for relegation. And despite their poor OL showing thus far, Sierra Vista is actually leading the NC West.

As if I needed an excuse.

Was leafing through my cards and coins folder and noticed that my first Willie Asylum card still had the old team logo. Not anymore. Isn't that perfection?

Hey Magus!

Despite what appears to be your hands off approach, it seems likely that Otonokizaka will get crowned. I don't have a logo, so I asked my son and his girlfriend for a couple of names from Love Life. They offered Umi Sonoda and Maki Nishiko. Here are two pics I was able to get. May I use one, or do you have something I can use?

Waffletown Sets Benchmark, Can Left Coast top it?

As you can tell from the above post, game night went a bit long. I doubt if I'll answer the bell early enough to get these up in the morning, so I decided to take a half-hour now.

The chase for the crown in OL S255 comes down to this - Waffletown is first and finished play. Only Left Coast can pass them. The LabRats have six games left, three at Norwood on Sept. 6-8. Then, in a somewhat ironic twist, Port Ruppert's only OL games of the season see them hosting Left Coast for three, Sept. 17-19. The LabRats task is tough, but straight forward - win at least four of six road games. Anything less and the Syrups win the crown.

In PT play, Left Coast still leads the NC east, Waffletown, the NC central, and Bluffton, the NC west. Terra Incognita has tanked, while Norwood has escaped relegation.

In the AC, Port Ruppert continues to struggle a bit and has fallen to 3-1/2 back in the wild card.

Diamond Update

Highland dropped 2 its 3 OL games while Weston Pointe went 5-1 yesterday to jump into the lead. Highland and Hidden Valley have completed their OL seasons. Cary has 6 remaining, all against the Caspers. Cary would need to sweep the six and then hope Weston Pointe (12 games left) loses one of its remaining six to win the titles. There are a couple of other teams with a decent number of games left but cant see them posing a challenge.

In PT play Weston Pointe has a one game lead in their division with Cary tied for second one game back. Cary and Kansas along with Weston Pointe are in the playoff mix in the NC. In the AC Highland is .5 back in the wildcard race

Hamtrack and Hidden Valley are in the relegation zone with Palolo and Coney Island hovering right around relegation.

Hey. maybe don't bemoan your fate too soon.

Got a lot of packs to open this morning, with Port Ruppert having 27 and Asylum like 18 or 19. That marathon will have to wait, though I want to get the Mundys some help for a playoff run, so it will be before 10. I did Terra Incognita over coffee because they had "only" seven, poor guys. The first card I tuned over was a 100 Ronald Acuna Jr live which will grab me 20,000 PP at the least. They also added a gold Andre Thornton who'll slot in as my 1b-man against lefties, with a decent card and the most important quality of all - I liked him back in the day. Pretty damned good haul out of seven packs, I'd say.

if my calculations are right, Left Coast's task has a more narrow window.... they'll have to go 5-1 in the last 6 games to claim the crown (20-10 would put them at .667)... if they go 4-2, the win pct would drop to .633)

gonna be a fun final month no matter what happens

I'm sure you're right.

If you look at the time of my post and the fact that it was at the end of another unsuccessful night of Ticket to Ride, I'm surprised that's my only mistake. Thanks.

It's all academic.

The LabRats dropped three-in-a-row to Norwood early on so one of my favorite logos will sport it's first PT 21 crown. I believe in PT 20, the Syrups were one of the earliest winners.

Iron Championship is good Muse

The Otonokizaka Muse powered their way to a title in OL I235. With league play completed, the Muse are now looking for some playoff magic.

In standard play, the Muse are in the 1st wildcard spot in the NC. Meanwhile, OL cellar-dwellar, Sierra Vista, leads the NC West, while Asheboro is atop the AC East.
