Impressive dismantling of the Astros. Hoping they can crush KC's dreams over the weekend.

This is really it for the division. They have these 3 at home and then 3 more in KC at the end of next week. Royals are going to have to treat these like they are playoff game because they are still on the outside on the wild card chase as well.

2 of 3 to take the series. That is 5 or 6 series victories in a row. Off to wherever Oakland plays these days!

Nice comeback last night. They certainly have had KC’s number the last few weeks.

Guys, can we agree that the Mets need these games a lot more? Can we ... can we agree on that?
Please?

That was some awful pitching today.
Tomorrow we'll show you our second-newest toy, that McLean guy. ![]() Our newest toy (Jonah Tong) has to remain in the shed because we'd rather have Clay Holmes go 4.2 and give up five walks and five runs on Wednesday. ![]() ![]()

Do you guys really play your stadium music that loud, or was MLBN constantly piping it into the coverage?
(I'm mostly annoyed because I pretty much spend my days with my headphones feeding me white noise to block the constant construction sounds around me [as my quiet little street gets turned into Levittown] and I couldn't tell if the music was coming from the ballpark or from the construction guys and I needed to crank the engines higher.) Also, why on Earth would the Tigers play "Don't Stop Believing"?? One would think that actual Motor City residents would find the geography flub ("South Detroit" would be the river, or perhaps Windsor ON) as annoying as I do. JMO. |

I can't stand that song myself, especially for the very reason you are referring to. However, I can assure you I am in the vast minority. People love that song. They play it during Red Wings games as well. As for the stadium music. It's pretty loud. Never realized it may be louder than what happens in other places.

McLean looks like a keeper. How has this offense lost any games?

They went 11-17. I think you can piece the rest together from there, and you'll get a corner piece to that jigsaw when Clay Holmes crawls to the mound for the finale. We had like four of those in the rotation at one point...: five innings at best, and usually been sent packing with the score already outta paw.

Ugh, Kyle Finnegan was warming up to come into the game, stopped and went into the clubhouse.
He was the best deadline piece. Hope the injury fairy is not working today.

He has caught the BP pitcher bug that nagged Maeta while he was in Detroit.
