Box score from last Cupids - Knights game at Slaabovia this series. Bit sloppier than usual for the Cupids, unfortunately, because I was trying to get some players experience at other positions, but it was also sloppy play to a degree for the Knights as well. Not due to weather, however, in this game, so it was sloppy because they had some errors for other reasons, folks.

Seeing as there are no games scheduled for Friday, April 26, 1901, I will take a break from game-related events for a bit, and show more off-field events and all, until further notice, folks. I hope you enjoy what will come next here in this particular dynasty/saved game's world, of course, but if you don't, then so be it.

We should see more of the ladies, among others, in the next few posts, before the Cupids travel to Willson for the first time this season, for sure. What do you think should or will happen for those already in this story? Please feel free to speculate, within fair reason and all, of course, if and when you like.

Expect another batch of off-field event-related posts before I resume game-related posts here in this thread, at least. I need a realistic-looking map with four main islands and a few smaller islands near said main islands, please. The area covered by the map should be no more than about 400-420 miles north to south and about 350 to about 370 miles east to west, with about 60 to 80 percent of the territory shown on the map to be taken up by landforms of whatever kind or kinds.

This map will be for the fictional nation of Yunibaasaru Kataribe, and I have 48 city names collected for the nation so far. It should cover enough area to reasonably be able to support a population of about 67 or so million people by 2021, somehow.

Dolasheb and Ositegorne are the nation's two capital cities, and both are in coastal areas for the nation. One of the two should be on the northernmost island, and the other should be on the southernmost island. No island's northernmost island should be further north than about 45 degrees North Latitude, and no island's southernmost point should be further south than about 39 or so degrees North Latitude.

This nation will exist somewhere in an northerly direction from wherever Slaabovia is in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean, but not sure just where yet. It should still be in the same general time zone as Slaabovia, though, which would put it three hours later than the Central Time Zone in North America and three hours earlier than the UK would normally be, in most, if not all, cases.

Yunibaasaru Kataribe should consist mostly of plains, hills, and a few forested/wooded areas, with not many mountains on the main islands, but there should be at least a few in the nation, mostly on the other two main islands besides the ones that Dolasheb and Ositegorne are on, with none more than about 6400 feet in average height, at best. Also not much of desert-like terrain should be present for the nation as well.

I don't want to see a lot of tropical-type areas. nor colder areas, but think more temperate climate, et cetera, where and when possible and appropriate here, please, if you choose to make a physical terrain-type map here, folks. I'll decide on the province names and/or borders later, once I have a better idea of what the nation's landforms may look like here, I think.

The eight known coastal cities to this point are Dolasheb, Ositegorne, Soukanai, Kumaraha, Shakosaki, Kahioki, Machama, and Shabora. All should have populated areas sufficient for between 800,000 to 2.24 million people by 2021 to occupy well enough. But as of 1901, the nation's population currently sits at almost 43 million people, according to the most recent census.

Known inland cities on one or more of the main islands to this point are Kadomasu, Kitahi, Achynbara, Llandahachi, Heletrane, Sumeracawlo, Margunte, and Castana. As for all the other cities listed above, I have not yet decided if they are coastal or inland cities, so please do not place them on the map or maps you may make for me just yet.

I am going to attach the nation's flag to this post, so that you can see what it looks like, if I haven't attached it to any other post yet, or if you haven't seen it yet if and when I have, folks. Hopefully it might help you out in terms of giving you ideas on how to make a map for this nation here, but if it doesn't, then so be it.

First part of scene showing events that happen during the Cupids' next previously-scheduled off-day for the 1901 regular season, among other things that you all will likely see or learn during this scene and all. On the next scheduled off-day for the Cupids, the Cupids traveled to Willson for their next series of games on the road. They had faced Willson already, but that was in Folliston, taking two of the three games between the teams in the regular season so far. Now they would be playing in the Athletics' temporary home park, while their permanent home park was still in the planning stages.

They all traveled to Willson by train, even Houng. But seeing as it wasn't a great distance between the two cities, the Cupids were all disembarked from the train no more than about an hour after departing Folliston for Willson on Friday morning. Or at least their people were, if not also their equipment and all, anyway.

Not long after collecting all their personal belongings from the train's cargo cars or from the racks above their heads, as the case might be, where and when they felt they needed to, Tiziano and four others departed the train station, and decided to go exploring in the Willson area. They were led this time by Houng, who was still on the disabled list, but he was hoping to be back on the active roster by the end of the Willson series, if at all possible. He had worked part-time in the area during his college years whenever he wasn't playing baseball, and even during his high school years, so he knew a decent amount about the Willson area. Even though he'd not been born there in truth, but had been born elsewhere in Slaabovia, with that place being somewhere near Lima, Follisland.

As they were beginning to explore the area, led by Seung-gwan, the quintet unexpectedly encountered four members of the Willson Athletics near one of the best-known art museums in the area. Those four members were Greguorio Yokoyama, Ahren Lang, Yusaku Fujii, and Elton Arnold. Led by Greguorio, the four Athletics soon asked, mostly in Slaabinese, what their plans were for the day, seeing as they'd not have a game to play then.

Seung-gwan said, after Tiziano deferred leadership of the Cupids now present to him here for this conversation, "We're just exploring the area around here for much of the day. Most of my current companions haven't seen much of this area, in their lives, if I'm not too mistaken here, especially not underground, Greggy. So I'm showing them around a bit today, before they get to face you guys later. I won't be able to play the first two games of this series, unfortunately, but I'm almost over my current injury, it seems."

"I look forward to seeing you on the field of play as soon as possible, Seung-gwan. We've had a rough start to the year, but our fans are still looking forward to your games against us at home, it seems," said the native of Rio De Janeiro in the Slaabovian state of Ottosylvania, as he nodded his head. He was a few days away from turning eighteen, and couldn't wait to celebrate his birthday with his family as soon as possible on or around May 1, or sometime not long after then. Even if it wasn't possible for him to celebrate it back where he came from elsewhere in Slaabovia. His parents and his three siblings, with two of those siblings being sisters, were expecting to surprise him sometime later on, but he didn't yet know that.

"What's with all the pitchers playing in the field for you guys?" asked Quintino.

"We are short of position players as opposed to pitchers on our roster, due to how things shook out for us earlier, even during the inaugural draft," said Ahren Lang, whose ancestors primarily came from somewhere in Bavaria for Germany, but he himself had been born near Rainbow Bay in the Slaabovian state of Rainbowland, five generations after his ancestors had first come to what was now called the Slaabovian Republic. He had spent most of his life in and around there and points north and west of that place, but had graduated from high school no more than two years prior in Aaronville, Turtletania.

"Why don't your people get more position players, then?" asked Tiziano.

"Not sure, but for those of us who are pitchers, some of us have had troubles in the field so far. You may see a number of us this series in the field, because we don't really have a choice at the moment. Langley won't be ready for this series to face you, because he's still weeks away, Platina-san," answered Fujii, a native of Dutch Cove, Martinelandia, because that was where his parents were living at the time of his birth. They had come to Slaabovia around the time of Cirriddiqua's renaming as Slaabovia, and had lived in Slaabovia ever since. Mostly in Martinelandia, but also in the territory of Wellnitzalgo, periodically, for various reasons.

"That must be quite a challenge for you, I'd figure," commented Remke, after briefly running a hand through his hair.

"It is, but we're doing what we can for the time being, just the same," said the oldest Athletic now present, Elton Arnold, who had just celebrated his own 24th birthday less than two weeks earlier. His family had been in Slaabovia's territory, for the most part, for centuries, but had still kept strong ties to their ancestral home somewhere in Wales since first appearing in it during the early 16th Century AD. His speech often had a Welsh-sounding accent to it, with a bit of Gaelic and Basque/Catalan-style touches to it periodically as well, depending on his current mood at a particular time in his life. He then reached into a pocket of his light jacket, and took out what appeared to be a tube that had various sweets commonly made and sold elsewhere in Slaabovia, especially near Slaabojevo.

"Well, can you return the favor against us in your park and win at least two of the next three games against us, Arnold? asked Chang, with a smile on his face.

"Time will tell. I reckon we have a chance, but it all depends on how the spheres fly and bounce, don't you think, Chang?" challenged Arnold.

"True that, I suppose. But I think we'll be above you in the standings when all is said and done this year."

Houng suddenly broke back into the conversation, and then said, "Let's go, boys. Time's a-wasting, and we don't want to miss our chances to see the Charpali art exhibition around here, do we? It's starting at 1:45, and we'd best all get to wherever we're going now before the place fills to the gills later on. Been looking forward to it for weeks now, after all."

Minutes later, the five present Cupids were at least a few blocks away from the four Athletics, and Greguorio then suddenly said, "I have a rather bad feeling here, for some yet-unknown reason or reasons. Can't explain it, but I think major trouble's about to appear in the area, and they and others may be in considerable danger around here very soon. Boys, let's try to keep an eye on them while they're in town."

First picture is a rough estimation of what Aphyne might look like either now or in her twenties, I think. Aphyne currently looks at least a little bit like a younger Danielle Fishel from around the time of when Boy Meets World ended, at least in terms of her facial features. She will look about the same as Danielle Fishel does now, at least when it comes to her face, but she probably won't look as heavy as that actress apparently does now, in terms of her overall physical appearance, for instance, when she's around the age Fishel is now.

She'll always likely be smaller than many of the other women around her in certain ways. But that won't necessarily be a bad thing, because God made every human being different, of course, folks.

Second picture is a rough estimation of what Orlona might look like either now or sometime later in life, I think. Orlona currently looks at least a little bit like a younger Candace Cameron Bure did around the time of the end of Full House, and probably will look much like the picture below of CCB when she is about the same age as CCB is now.

Third picture is of a younger Kellie Shangyne Williams, for Vasahur Truvu is still a teenager at this time in the story, and her face looks a little like KSW's face did during the run of Family Matters. But imagine her with hair slightly lighter, and with several random streaks of various colors in it, instead of it being completely black. She will retain at least a few of those streaks later in life if she lives long enough, somehow.

Fourth picture is of a younger Lacey Chabert, probably a few years older than the character she represents here will first be mentioned as being at her first appearance in this story's world. Anola Peran will be another one of the female fighters from Sartagar, for sure, and she'll be in her late teens by now, story-wise, by most Terran standards of time reckoning.

Fifth picture is of a younger Rebecca St. James, and the character she's representing here, at least in terms of her face, is Selara Trallor, who will be about the same age as many of the other characters in this story, as well. Selara will be the third of the female fighters from Sartagar here, for your information, folks. Selara's face won't look exactly like the picture shown below for RSJ, of course, but it will still look similar to the shown face, in any case here, somehow.

Second part of next scene begins now. Things are going to really start heating up here, more than they already have, I'm quite sure. Will the ladies survive or not? Only time will tell, of course. Now back to the story, folks.

Meanwhile, back in Folliston, seeing as Aphyne and Orlona neither had to go to work or to school in the area, they were currently conversing with the fighters from Sartagar, once they'd been quite sure that they'd not be seen or heard or detected anywhere around them, by anyone else who didn't need to know about those fighters here now. At the moment, they were sharing a meal with them that Orlona had quickly made up for those now present where the fighters were now hiding out.

Nobody else was present, so the oldest female fighter now present, Anola Peran, who appeared to be roughly 22 or 23 years old, soon asked, "Orlona and Aphyne, do you still have the devices we gave you earlier?"

Orlona nodded, before saying, "Aphyne here still is very skeptical about things related to what happened earlier around us, unfortunately, though. She still doesn't believe that certain people are in danger around her, it seems to me."

"My beloved future husband died, all because of that terrible beast our enemy sent to wreak havoc, in definite defense of the innocent," said Vasahur, the female fighter with the darkest skin of all the people now present. "He was going to go out with me for my birthday to a musical concert of some sort one of your Terran weeks ago, but was unable to just because he was killed protecting people like you from them, Krikystheus!"

"How am I to blame for that?" questioned Aphyne, as she looked at all three female fighters here, those being Anola Peran, Vasahur Truvu, and Selara Trallor. The last of those three fighters was the one who had called Seung-gwan Houng-chisuki, in fact.

"You aren't, or at least not totally, but your delay in departing that building we ended up fighting in probably forced him to take more risks than he might have otherwise needed to during the fight! I'm still upset about that, and I will be for a very long time, I think! You should have departed it right away when you were told to, without arguing at all about doing so!" She began furiously twirling some of her knives from off her belt in her hands, trying to calm herself down at least a little here, as her multi-colored streaked hair began to unexpectedly flail around in random directions at that time rather unconsciously on her part. She had mostly brownish-black hair with several streaks of various random colors, all somehow natural for her, for yet-unknown reasons to most who knew her well enough in her life.

Silvio said, "Vasa, she doesn't know what it's like to fight beings like that yet, I am quite certain. She has no idea what is in store for us all in the future. But she will get a good idea soon enough, no doubt. In fact, I want you to show her what she will need to learn about our enemies, while I will be one of the ones who will periodically train our new acquaintances in the things they will need to know as well."

"And if I refuse?" asked Vasahur, with a semi-strong look of blended great concern and anger, at the very least, then on her face here.

"You don't have a choice. I won't give you a choice. Sel, you are to work with Orlona here. Ano-tsai, there will be a few more women who will appear around our new acquaintances, and I will leave them in your charge. If you need help with them, Selara will help you, for sure. As for us men, we'll train the five Cupids and any other men who end up being caught up in this sufficiently well. Is that clear, everyone?"

Reluctantly, Vasahur submitted to Silvio's directive here, even though she was still quite upset with Aphyne here, for multiple reasons, whether fair or not. She showed that submission at this time by bowing her head for about ten seconds, and then said nothing more until she calmed down enough here.

All of a sudden, a few minutes later, several beeps were heard from several communications devices, which immediately got everyone's attention. Orlona was the first to speak, once everyone recognized those devices were beeping here. "What's going on?"

"We're going into battle, and we can't leave you here. We have to take care of it, before too many others get hurt around here," said Anola. "Stick near us, no matter what, as best as you can, ladies, so we can protect you better!" She pulled two bowling pin-like clubs from holders on her belt, and then crossed them in front of her as the other two female fighters formed the other two corners of a triangle around Orlona and Aphyne here. As that happened, the males formed a circle of five around the five women, and summoned a portal about twenty feet in average diameter by using devices on their belts.

No more than a minute later, the room they'd all just been in was completely unoccupied by sentient beings, and all ten of them were traveling to the place where the fighters would then have to fight again here. Even their food and drink items went with them, whether consumed yet or not, so that not even a single trace that they'd ever been in that room remained in it while they were still absent from that very room.

The pictures shown here are only rough estimates of possible facial looks for the five surviving male Sartagaron fighters. Although those fighters' faces may not and probably will not look entirely like the pictures shown, of course. They will represent, in order, Silvio Korivi, Wegiphavire (Wegi) Krugaduwau, Dwokukaro (Dwoku) Frudewoko, Relxe Bussan, and Yeclarxi Cetai, just so you all know this here well enough, folks.

Meanwhile, back in Willson, not long after Tiziano and the other Cupids had parted from their opponents still some distance away from the art museum where there'd be an exhibition beginning soon, Greguorio and his teammates were tailing after them, at Yokoyama's urging. As they were doing so, a rip of some sort suddenly appeared just to their eyes in the sky above their heads about half a mile or so from where the four Athletics now were in it. Those they were following were about a quarter-mile down the necessary street here, but didn't yet know they were being followed now, nor of the presence of that rip in the sky. For such a strange aerial disturbance had not yet caught their notice sufficently well.

Lang was the first to see that rip easily enough here, and then he quickly muttered briefly to himself in barely-audible German-accented Slaabinese. But if it had been in straight German instead, he would have said, "Was bringt die Zukunft, wenn sieben Wölfe heulen?" That would have translated roughly into English as "By the howling of seven wolves, what will the future bring?" It was a saying he would often say to himself when something totally unexpected was beginning to happen around or near enough to him or those around him at a particular time. Something like the rip appearing in the sky above their heads, for instance.

Then he quickly tapped Yokoyama's shoulder, and pointed at the rip, and Yokoyama said, increasingly concerned as Lang got more animated while keeping an eye on the rip in question, "Those men are going to be in great danger very soon, I strongly suspect," once he saw it well enough, as it began pulsing around its visible edges. Seconds later, that rip greatly expanded to about one and a half times the diameter of a typical baseball pitcher's mound, more or less, but still with semi-ragged and irregular edges. And it was still continuing to expand as the four Athletics players then quickly raced towards the Cupids who still didn't yet know about the rip above their heads. As they did so, several dozen unknown beings of assorted sizes, shapes, appearances, and/or natures quickly began to drop out of the rip, or fly out of it, and start trying to wreak as much havoc as they then could on the streets of Willson, one way or another.

Some of those beings began attacking various structures or modes of transport in the area, whether motorized or not. And some began going after people, plants, and/or animals on those streets, no matter who or what they were, as they saw fit to and could at the present time. Many civilians were on the streets, for it had been a fairly good day so far, weather-wise, in truth. And they were trying to enjoy themselves as they browsed around the area, with quite a few perhaps even shopping for a while, as well.

As soon as the Athletics saw that those on the streets were now under attack from those beings, they each vowed to themselves privately that they would each do all they could to aid those people, one way or another, somehow, for sure. As they moved to do what they could, Yokoyama and Fujii unexpectedly found swords near now-smashed windows for a weapons master's shop, along with several other weapons of various kinds. Lying both in and outside the shop in question were five currently-unmoving bodies, two of which apparently belonged to the main owners of said shop. Realizing that there was nothing more that they could likely do to aid those people at the present time, Yokoyama told his teammates to each arm themselves, and prepare to fight as best as they each could, not only for their lives, but also for the lives of anyone else they could possibly somehow help here as well.

Lang quickly grabbed up a club which sort of looked like an average baseball bat, at the very least, while Arnold found what appeared to be some sort of modern rifle of currently-unknown design or origin, along with several magazines of ammunition suitable for use with said ranged weapon. It wasn't too long after that Ahren and Elton were back out of the shop, and beginning to see what they could do to fight against their newest opponents, and help those now being attacked here.

While all this was going on, the Cupids' players finally saw the rip and the unknown beings appear to their sights, and they realized that things had gotten much more complicated for them and many others now in their respective lives. They then turned to try and figure out what to do next here, before they suddenly found their clothes' appearances changing to look like some sort of fusion of a suit of armor and a naval sailor's uniform, but in various colors for each of them, as the case might be for them. Not only that, but in the case of Platina, he gained a sword and a few other items, to go along with his new fighting uniform of some sort. While Tuomino and Chang both found clubs of some sort appearing in their hands, along with other items that appeared on their persons now. And Houng and Raijmakers each unexpectedly got a ranged weapon of some sort for themselves to use now, as best as they then could. Houng got an archery bow and a quiver of arrows that mysteriously would automatically reload as often as necessary, as long as he was able to maintain sufficient enough control of said bow, or be close enough to said bow to use it even when not holding it directly in his hands somehow. While Raijmakers, for his part, got a rifle-like weapon of yet-unfamiliar design or origin, along with plenty of ammunition for said weapon, among other things he got as well without prior notice or warning.

They didn't have time to just test things out that they had just gotten here, of course, for the beings quickly began going after them here, among others, for sure. But they just did whatever came to mind then for each of them, no matter what it was, even if they hadn't known just what to do here immediately when they came under attack from those strange beings, in any case. It wasn't long before they had taken down at least half a dozen unfamiliar beings of various sizes and all, and aided others now under attack here. Although they soon were hit by a number of projectiles or other items or beings' body parts while they each find themselves fighting those creatures on the streets of Willson, much to their surprise and displeasure at the present time.

It was at this time that the Sartagaron fighters suddenly appeared near them, and those fighters immediately went to work on their new opponents, once they all had adjusted easily enough to their sudden arrival on the streets of Willson from Folliston's local area. Of course, with those fighters, there were also Aphyne and Orlona present. For the two women hadn't had a chance to get far enough away from those fighters to avoid being teleported to Willson with them as well.

Parts of Willson may not look exactly like the pictures shown here, at this point in time, mind you, but they might still look fairly similar, in areas, just the same. These pictures here may be, at best, only moderately rough estimations of what parts of Willson might look like much of the time, as of 1901. But they do not apparently show motorized vehicles meant for road transport of any kind here, it seems. By now, there are makers of such kinds of vehicles in Slaabovia, but the use of such vehicles is still moderately uncommon in this and several other nearby countries, such as Ruifrapso Sokumi and Yunibaasaru Kataribe, to name a couple of them.

The idea of actual workable and usable enough flying machines isn't new to Slaabovia, by now. But as with many things related to automobiles, planes are still mostly a few years away for most, if not more than that. There have been several unsuccessful attempts to create and develop them like those of the Wright Brothers were around the same time frame in our reality, to be sure, but there still won't be a successful attempt for a little while yet, in terms of Slaabovia, at least.
