There are few players on this team who are untouchable.

One who I THOUGHT was untouchable, came and demanded a trade.

I don't want players who don't want to be here. We have been a great team and one bad year does not mean the end.

So, if you want out, don't let the door hit you on the backside.

TRADE

To EXPOS

Paul Molitor

To BLUE JAYS

Lee Smith (MTL retains small amount of contract)
Jason Carter
Jason Knights
Tom Bishop
Rafael Bustamante

Then a flip...

TRADE

To CARDINALS

Jose Correa
Jason Carter
Mark Irwin
Ron Hamilton
John Billings

To BLUE JAYS

Armando Torres
Jeff Brantley
Todd Clark
Pedro Santiago
Ismael Maldonado

Sent to AAA: Israel Sanchez

Joining the Jays: Smith, Torres

Pedro Santiago of Saint-Hyacinthe was named Player of the Week for his AA league.

For the Majors it was Kevin Mitchell, Yankees & Andre Dawson, Expos.

The Blue Jays held in the basement of the Weekly Power Rankings.
