Based on a few emails that I received, there may be some confusion over this thread; especialy with new commers. While there aren't any rules per se, I can give you a rundown of how this thread developed which may help.

Back in December, I noticed that a number of photos of fighters who had not yet been rated were being posted around the board, mostly in the Missing Fighter Photo thread (I was guilty of that to a large extent). I went through my photos and started a list of all photos without a matching fighter file. At first, the list was mainly populated with boxers that had in fact been rated but simply were not in my database.

Since then, we have posted photos, rated the fighters and shipped to cornerwork.com over 1,000 photo-file pairings. Some of them were posted in other threads and included in the packs sent to Mark at cornerwork simply to avoid having them burried in the threads.

At this point, this thread is basicaly a place to post pictures that you have of boxers who have not yet been rated. I try to catch everything posted in other threads as well and add them to the list if they have not yet been rated.

The current list that we are working with is on page 68, everyone on the list has had a photo posted somewhere on the board and to my knowledge has yet to be rated. You can always find the most current list by starting with the last page and working backward - you can't miss it.

SAL has been a rating machine here for some time, but anyone is more than welcome to rate any fighter on the list or to post pictures. This thread has morphed into a compliment to the Missing Fighter Photo thread. If you have a photo of a previouly rated fighter, post it over there. If the fighter hasn't been rated post it here. It is also a great help to post a BoxRec ID number along with the photo so everyone is clear as to who is depicted. (I am not trying to make or impose any rules - just suggestions. You can continue doing whatever you feel like doing, I have no trouble keeping up with most of it)

Thanks again to everyone who posts photos, posts ratings, chats about boxing or just hangs around here. You all make this a fun message board.

Here's what I do when I find a site with pics on it, like the one I found over the weekend. First I check my current database which has 9616 male fighters in it. I feel pretty safe that if I don't have it, no one does. If the fighter isn't in there then I check through my picture file to see if there has been a pic posted but not rated yet (since I download every photo and file that has been posted since the last time I was on 3 or 4 times a day, if it's on the site I have it on my computer). Once I'm satisfied that it's a new fighter then I resize the photo, look the fighter up on boxrec, and post it in this thread.

If the fighter has been rated but I don't have a picture then I post the pic in the other thread. That's really the only two threads I post in. I like the asian and all the other threads but it's just easier to stick to two.

This is kind of repeating what Chris said but I just thought I'd throw my .02 in. This has been a very helpful thread and I commend Chris and Sal on their work. Esp. when I create alot of work for them like I did this weekend!!!!!
