The photo on the left is definitely the Bill Fulginite you are seeking. It's from the Boston Record American of July 4, 1968. The accompanying article indicates that Fulginite would be leaving that day for Bradenton, FL to report to an Oakland A's farm team. The article stated that Fulginite lived in Cambridge, MA, and had attended Boston Latin and Suffolk University.

The photo on the right shows a Bill Fulginite on his retirement from decades of coaching the Wayland High School team in Massachusetts. The background indicates that this Fulginite starting high school baseball coaching in 1975 in Framingham, MA. Given that timing, the Massachusetts location, and the unusual name of Bill Fulginite, I'm reasonably sure it's the same guy.

THANKS for the Fulginite, Juniel and Moser photo's.

Before Vance went into professional baseball, he was better known as Johnny Vance, a sensational quarterback at Western Kentucky University. Garry McGrath

Here's another response to your requested ten players.

This is Garry S. McGrath's senior picture from the North Quincy (MA) High School Yearbook of 1969. The baseball section of the yearbook says that he was the backbone of the team's pitching staff, but unfortunately there was no photo of him in a baseball uniform.

Additional newspaper searching did turn up a McGrath photo in a baseball uniform. The photo came from The Boston Record American of July 24, 1969. Garry is in a Quincy uniform. The occasion was a sandlot tryout with the Boston Red Sox sponsored by the Record American.

Mike L. Lynch

Think this will be the last response to your request for ten players.

This photo comes from the Palm Beach Post of April 21, 1974. It shows Mike Lynch with the West Palm Beach Expos.

Henry "Hank" Bivens

Third baseman Hank Bivens was a non-roster invitee with the Cincinnati Reds (or Redlegs) in 1958 and 1959. He was a hometown lad who hit .453 as a shortstop for Cincinnati's Withrow High School in 1957.

The photo on the left shows him with the Salem (OR) Senators. It comes from The Oregon Statesman of April 19, 1960. The photo on the right misses out on catching his face, since it pictures him sliding him into home plate, but it does document him in a Cincinnati Reds uniform. It's from the Rochester (NY) Democrat and Chronicle of March 25, 1958. The Phillie player tagging him is pitcher Gene Snyder.

Bob Riesener

Bob managed to don a New York Yankee uniform in their spring instructional camp in 1958. But his real claim to fame was his unbelievable record with the Alexandria Aces of the Evangeline League in 1957. His won-loss record was 20-0! His low ERA of 2.21 no doubt helped. His accomplishment was so unusual that he was featured in a Believe It Or Not presentation in one newspaper I ran across.

The attached photo is from the Wellslville (NY) Daily Reporter of August 27, 1957, and shows him in his Alexandria uniform. For a better quality version of the same photo, the viewer might want to check out the display on baseball-birthdays website at:

From the Québec Carnavals (Expos AA team): kneeling-Dan Warthen and standing from L to R--4-Warren Cromartie, 14 TBD, 12-Larry Parrish, and then Ellis Valentine.

From the Thetford Mines Pirates, standing between Parrish and Ellis-Tony Armas, and kneeling, Willie Randolph

EL All-Star Photo(s)

Just a point of clarification. This is only the "National Division" of the Eastern League. The American Division included Bristol, Waterbury, West Haven and Pittsfield. None of those teams are represented here.

Here are both of them with IDs (not in order, however). But all the names are there. Do know that #9 on the back row is manager Jim Snyder.

Lee Elia

This photo shows Lee Elia as a Phillie farmhand with the 1964 Arkansas Travelers. It's from the Indianapolis Star of August 13, 1964. The scene is one of Lee pursuing Indianapolis' Ken Berry in a run-down.

I've added a second photo which shows Lee in a Phillie uniform waving his contract like a bat, just after he first signed with the Phils. That photo came from the Wilmington (DE) News Journal of Sept. 16, 1958.
