Gold league:
Only a handful of games last month and those teams just traded punches, so not much change in the standings |

Colorado Springs and Savannah going toe-to-toe for the title. Meanwhile, Savannah is also joining Bruno and Holy City in the race for relegation.

Mount Hawke are in a very strong position, but it's not quite done and dusted yet.
The Tinners host Waxhaw for four games. Aomori and Port Ruppert play nine - three at Port Ruppert, six at Aomori. So, it may be unlikely, but it's not impossible for a dramatic late turnaround. |

Los Angeles slides back towards the pack but still clings to the lead. Bushwood will play a big role in how the final standings turn out, as they have a 4 game set with Los Angeles early in the September schedule (the last 4 OL games for LA). |

Colorado Springs is on their way to a title. The Mountain Hounds are also trying to be the only OL I183 team to reach the playoffs. Three teams are in the relegation zone.

Aceldama and Terra Incognito head into the final month as the co-favorites to win the title.

Short update on Bronze .209. Fighting off Covid here and not up to much, but thought at least one entry from Bronze would be welcomed.
Only three teams in B.209 as follows; Baltimore 5-2... 4 games remaining with Columbia Columbia 1-2... 4 games remaining with Baltimore Doug Outs 1-3... 0 games remaining Columbia needs 3 of 4 Wins against Baltimore to move up. Columbia is 76-62 in PT play while Baltimore is only 60-78 and threatened with relegation. |

Port Ruppert went 6-3 against Aomori in their final games, but that was never quite enough, and Mount Hawke beat Waxhaw 3-1 anyway.
The Mundys just grabbed one of the wildcard spots with a win in their final game. The Tinners somehow managed to fight off a team with something like four million points of cards I'd like to have, despite going 5-14 against them! Shinbone had a 7 or 8 game winning streak, but then dropped off again. And Waxhaw were incredibly unfortunate to go on a 7-game losing streak to end the season. Despite a very good season, Mount Hawke lost six of their last seven, and I expect the Mo's to come through and give the Tinners their customary first round exit to a sweep . Hopefully, Port Ruppert can avoid such a fate and go on another run!

Colorado Springs captures another OL flag, using their 18-1 advantage over Holy City to propel their season.
Meanwhile, the Hurricanes take their tanking talents to Stone, along with Bruno and Savannah. No OL made the playoffs. |

Gold league:
Los Angeles split the final series with Bushwood to drop their season winning percentage to .600, leaving a potential path for Coney Island to slip past at the last moment. Claptown had other plans though, taking 2 of 3 in their series with Coney Island, leaving them just .007 behind (one more win by Coney / loss by L.A. would have been enough to flip flop the standings). For the post season, Waffletown claimed the top seed in the NC. Los Angeles picked up the second wild card spot (all wild cards and the 3rd division winner came from the NC East, so every team playing in the first round in the NC are intimately acquainted with each other already). Selfishly for Waffletown was hoping to be the only OL team left standing cause we were mediocre against 'em at best this season. I foresee this setup as another repeat of past playoff "runs", where we're primed to be bounced in our first round. Syrups played just .500 ball against OL competition, but .680 against the rest of the league; and they will play the winner of (Syrups record vs) Los Angeles (2-5)-Muskegon (5-2) after playing spoiler for Coney Island; Claptown will head back to SIlver next season |

Aceldama holds on to win the title. Lots of upcoming playoff action for OL teams as 5 of the 9 teams are in the playoffs. Looks like Auckland will be relegated down for next season.

Gold playoffs:
Hate to say I was right in my prophetic negative view of my brain-dead bunch, but here we are... Next season, if Waffletown makes the post season, I'm going to petition the OOTP mods to manually remove them from the tree and replace them with the top team who missed the cut; as this team is the worst post season performing club I've ever seen in my PT life congrats to Los Angeles and good luck the rest of the way. |
