Now here is cephasjames' work.
He uses only 2 colors. Compare it to your work. Last edited by Eugene Church; 11-09-2021 at 12:30 AM. |

Here are cephasjames' jerseys.
Compare it to your work. Can't you see the difference in his style and your style? He has much better contrast between the colors of the jerseys and the color of the letters. Your musketeer image is too dark and it doesn't show up well on the jerseys... your shading is too dark on jerseys and caps. Can't you see these differences? Well, for one thing, I can't make straight sleeves or shoulders here like other designers can here. And as you say, they ARE much more skilled and much more experienced with this kind of thing here, to be sure.
Yes, I did many different things for people while in Kaneva, like various outfits and/or furniture items, for instance. But even then, much of my original graphics work was probably not what I would call of very high quality, on average, compared to what others were doing there while it was still open. Or compared to what you people were likely quite often blessed with here long before I ever joined the forums or began heavily playing the various baseball games here, I think, EC. Maybe someday, though, I'll be able to do much better work with the tools and skills at my disposal, later on, Lord willing, of course. In any case, you're most likely quite right with much of what you just told me here in relation to my graphics work, if not all of it, I believe. I'll try to take your thoughts and all into account and all here, to be sure, as best as I can, if and whenever I can and all, EC. CD out.

See your post #922 for the Glasco Celtics. You are capable of doing good work by keeping things simple. You used only green, white and black.

To be fair, he did ask for purple, yellow, white, and gray variants, at least, with various text versions for Belle Plaine. Some with Musketeers, some with Belle Plaine, and some with BP on them. I tried to provide them as best as I could, and in a more traditional style than usual for me, as well. Do I clearly need to work on how I often do many of my uniforms and caps, at least? Certainly, I do, and I'm not denying that. But one or two things are quite certain, at least, about my uniforms, and that is that they're original and that they're unique, folks.
Thank you for your comments and all, jg2977 and EC. I hope you like some of these items, anyway, of course, though, even if you don't actually use any of them. CD out.

First of all, I am very well pleased with cephasjames Belle Plaine Musketeers... please don't do any more versions for me.
CD, I requested Purple and Orange... the Gray was only to used on the Away Jersey... it was not one of the Primary Colors... I did not ask for BP to be put on the jerseys... nor the musketeer image put on the jerseys... my cap and jersey examples do not use the textures and shading you used... neither did Isedelyod on the Belle Plaine Away Jersey and Cap. You just used your own choice of colors, styles, shadings and jersey texture, not mine... you did not use the Purple and Orange like I requested... you should have made one set for me using my instructions and colors... I included the Color Codes, which you did not use... by now you should know that I will not use your colors, styles, textures and shading... they do not appeal to me... nothing is wrong with them... your graphics are fairly well done, but never anything I would use. I have used only one jersey that your created... Hillsboro Blazers... I used the Home Jersey... but you revised it many, many times before it was acceptable to me.... yep, EC is hard to please... I like my teams to be done very well... I just don't use them if they are not well done and to my instructions... but I always appreciate anything done for me even if I don't use it... I try to always thank the designers. Since you and I are friends, I know you want to please me and will do revisions without getting upset with me... I don't ask graphics designers to do revisions for me, unless they offer to do them... not all of them offer to do revisions... and that is fine with me... over the last 15 years I have gotten some very fine graphics... I think my dynasty leagues look very good overall... and it's because of the wonderful graphics designers that have shared their talent with me. Recently, I have had to rework my dynasty teams on my own... occasionally I get lucky and txranger and cephasjames have done some work for me, really beautiful work, too... and as you know, my work is just average at best... nowhere as good a cephasjames, txranger, knuckler and about 20 others that have designed my teams... many of them done the way I requested. Here is what I posted: Home White Jersey with Musketeers lettering Home Purple Jersey with Musketeers lettering Away Gray Jersey with Belle Plaine lettering... please use Medium Gray on the Away... Dark Gray doesn't show up well in the game in my opinion. Away Orange Jersey with Belle Plaine lettering Away Purple Jersey with Belle Plaine lettering When I post a request, I would prefer them done according to my instructions, but I always give the graphic designers the choice to do them their way with their colors and designs... most of the time, I don't use them when they do this, but it is OK for them to do it their way. I did use purple, though a slightly different shade of it, I think. I admit I didn't use the codes exactly as provided, but I did try to stay close to them, at least a bit, if not a lot.
I did provide at least one purple uniform with Belle Plaine on it, but that one was not a dark purple one, unless you consider a mauveish color dark purple in nature. You probably don't like gradients most times, though, do you, on uniforms, just like I used at least once here, EC? Yes, I put BP on a number of uniforms, along with M on others, and the recolored Musketeer logo on others. I thought it might be nice to give you or others more potential options to work with, though. Hence why I did so, for sure. Yes, your dynasty leagues look very good, overall, if not among the very best, that I've seen on these forums. You have certainly been blessed, just as many others no doubt have been here, on these forums with such high-quality graphics. True, you and I may not be as good at making graphics as many others around here are or have been, but our Lord gives each of us certain talents and all, to use as best as we each can in this life. He has given both of us real talents in writing, I think, to perhaps compensate us both for the various problems we often have with graphics and other areas of our lives, EC. Let's just keep trying to do our Lord's will as best as we each can for the rest of our respective lives, and see what happens, and see what He still has in store for each of us in those lives of ours while we're still here. He will never leave us nor forsake us, nor will He EVER lead us astray, if we continue to faithfully follow Him to the best of our abilities, for sure. Thank you for your kind words and all, as always, EC. And I hope we have many more months, if not years, of getting to know each other better in this life, if at all possible, Lord willing, of course. CD out.

By the way, how have the Freemans done so far in your IPA, EC, statistics-wise? Whether in terms of batting, pitching, and/or fielding, I'd really like to know, if and whenever I can, of course. CD out.

What post was that again? They've only been in for one season apiece, right, EC? CD out.

OK, thank you for reminding me, EC. Did you see what I most recently wrote in hk's thread, by the way? Just wondering, that's all. CD out.

You were right... but you need to be careful when you get involved like that on these forums... you should have stated your feelings in fewer and more concise words...they would be far more effective. Note what the moderator Conn Chris stated... he used few words and was concise... and very effective. "Keep it simple" is a good philosophy... works in all kinds of ways in life. For instance, "keep it simple" works well in doing logos, jerseys and caps. In my experience, simple designs show up better on the game screens... many excellent graphic designers create wonderful logos, jerseys and caps that look good at 300 pixels, but they are just blurs at 50 or 150 pixels. What team were you planning to put the Freemans on in your recreational leagues, EC. Just curious, that's all. I was hoping Moon Valley, because I think I'm a dreamer to least some degree. CD out.

Looks like I'm going to have to make some special uniforms for the Glasco Celtics now, seeing as they evidently just won an overall title in jg2977's IPA for the past season. jg2977, if you see this in time, please wait for me to do them before you start the next season of your IPA. Thanks in advance if you do. I should hopefully have them done by the end of the weekend, at the latest, I think, if you do. CD out.
