Colorado Springs includes a 4-game sweep of Belo Horizonte in their 9-0 month to take firm control of OL I170.

Six games each and a 3-3 record for all three teams.

Mount Hawke will host Aomori and Port Ruppert for three games each. Aomori will be hoping for a sweep to put them in a great position, but they need at least 2-1 to keep things alive. Although the Mundys are out of the race, they could still play spoilers in the final series of the season.

Long Beach tacked on another 3-0 against North Bay to the record. If they come through their final six games (Eden Prairie and Grovers Mill) with a 4-2 record, the Butchers would have to go 10-0 in order to give them the chop!

I hadn't looked ahead on the schedule to see that there were so few OL games left. Only 4 games were played yesterday, and only 5 will be played today, all between Daytona Beach and Fort Davis.

Colorado Springs is the champ of OL I170. The Mountain Hounds and Tortugas are headed to the playoffs this weekend. New Zealand is currently slated for relegation.

Gold league:

Waffletown put some space between them and Waxhaw (going 5-1 in head-to-head play), but still plenty of games remaining for the standings to swing any which way.

Mount Hawke came through 2-1 from a tight series with Aomori, which wrapped things up.

The Mundys and Tinners are off to the wildcard. LA had a rough run-in and will return to Gold, which sucks.

Despite Aceldama's best efforts, Long Beach cruised home for the Silver crown. Congrats!

Claptown are the only playoff representatives. No relegations.

Waffletown holds firm and claims the Gold tier OL crown for the third time.

Overall, Waffletown finishes with the best record in the league (103-59), but we all know what good that does in the post season

Waxhaw and Shinbone claim wild card spots.

Mevagissey will head back to Silver next season
