Nat "Sweetwater" Clifton
Nat "Sweetwater" Clifton is mostly known for his accomplishments as a basketball player in the NBA. But he also played in the Negro Leagues in 1949 as a first baseman with the Chicago American Giants and in the minor leagues within the Cleveland Indians' farm system. He is shown here in the uniform of the Wilkes-Barre Indians.

Steel Arm Dickey
"Steel Arm" Dickey was a pitcher with the Montgomery Grey Sox, St. Louis Stars, and St. Louis Giants in 1921 and 1922. There seems to be a dispute about his first name. Seamheads.com calls him Walter Claude Dickey. Pitchblackbaseball.com calls him John Claude Dickey. The Negro Baseball Register, by Dick Clark and Larry Lester, lists him as John "Steel Arm" Dickey.
Baseball-reference.com concurs with seamheads.com. |

John Robert Dixon
John Robert "Johnny Bob" Dixon was a pitcher and shortstop for seven Negro League teams during the 1926-34 period. The attached photo in a Havana Red Sox uniform is the only image I've found of him thus far.
