Billy Harris1968
I've sat on this one for awhile, and only recently saw a bad airbrush job pass as Harris in color. So at the risk of being selfish, I'll ask to have this Billy Harris (Indians) colorized. At the same time, I'll drop these other old Indians in the mix -- the immortal Ron Nischwitz and Alan Closter. One little, two little, three little Indians ...

Thank you! Perfect. Sorry I did not see them before. I try to avoid duplicating anything that precedes me. I will make sure to do a search any time in the future.
On the subject of B&W Indians, have you done a similar treatment to any Jim King images? Last edited by Home Free; 05-21-2018 at 01:45 AM. Reason: Added question |

Jim King
Jim King was traded to the Indians for Rocky Colavito and wound up wearing Rocky's old number, #21.

Oppps. I made a mistake. THIS is the finished one.
There was a slight error on the first one. I fixed it and sent the wrong one at first. lol Last edited by zappa1; 05-21-2018 at 08:37 PM. |

I should really mind my own business, but Jim looks like he swallowed his tobaccy chaw, there. So I tried to correct the color balance of the face (of the original...hadn't seen the finished one at the time). It did also result in the eyes being less green, which could be a bug or a feature, depending). Whatever, here it is FWIW.

Jim King (finally, I think) haha
Thanks for adjusting the tint. Where that greenish tint came from, who knows. Not to be picky though, the one you adjusted has a slight flaw over Jim's right shoulder. The sky doesn't touch his jersey. So. Here now is the adjusted tint on the one that is the finished one.
Thanks again for pointing out the off tint. I'm still learning as I go.

Two missing managers
Trying to post only images that serve a broad need. Here are a couple of managers (one an interim) that have eluded men with Kodaks.
Bill Adair, who coached for many teams, managed the 1970 White Sox for 10 games. No color has been forthcoming. They still wore the blue-based uniforms. Haywood Sullivan was the principal manager for the 1965 Athletics. Player photos are abundant, but A's woren different uniforms than when he played. Had trouble even finding this B&W shot! Betting someone has something better, to which I would gladly defer. |

Bill Adair
Here I tried the Bill Adair pic. Trying to get the right color for the road jersey.
Both sportslogo and colorworx say it's light blue. However, I found where an auction was held for an authentic game worn jersey by coach Luke Appling. It looks kind of grayish. I'm confused. Could the light blue be so light that it looks grayish? Oh, well, here is my shot at it. |

Haywood Sullivan
I think I found out something. Not sure. I checked and checked looking for that white hat for this time period. I even checked baseball cards from 64-67. Every player had a green hat. Home or away. Then I saw Al Dark with a white hat. The only other one with a white hat. He too was a manager. Could it be that the team had green hats and the manager wore white hats?
I wonder. Sure is strange. ![]() Last edited by zappa1; 05-26-2018 at 07:25 AM. |

This smaller Haywood Sullivan wasn't that great to start with.
Ok, I guess. ![]() |

Long-sought Dodger Heydeman
Hard to believe there has been no color to surface of a Los Angeles Dodger, but short-timer Greg Heydeman (1973) remains elusive. He pitched in only one game, for two innings, but he was a DODGER.
Admin tnfoto has had the best available headshot posted for awhile. The time has come to request a solid colorizing, it would seem. The problem is that it is a relatively small file. Thanks in advance. |

1968 Fred Wenz (upgrade!)
Wonderful touch on the Heydeman background!
I know there is a cropped, unflattering head shot of Boston's Fred Wenz, and sooner or later you'd hope we'd see his Rookie Stars photo. But I think this would look even better than those if I might request this. |
