The Reds got the Superbas down 6-0 early... but that told you nothing on how the game was going to go as Brooklyn came roaring back (including a Sam Mertes home run) and beat the Reds 12-10 for their sixth straight win.

WP - Bob Lawson (1-0)
Save - Frank Morrissey (3)
LP - Bill Donovan (10-6)

Record - 43-32

The Brooklyn batters did enough to keep the streak going, but Ken Turner just couldn't keep the Cardinals in check as St. Louis won 9-8.

Joe Kelley tied the NL record (with many) with 5 hits.

WP - Jack Harper (1-0)
Save - Willie Sudhoff (2)
LP - Ken Turner (7-4)
