The Blue Jays signed a top prospect out of the Dominican, 16 year old CF, Ruben Botello. It cost them $4.4m, but he is expected to make an impact when he matures.

It was the Fourth of July... in Toronto. Whatever.

Tomas Nido homered but his biggest hit came int he 10th when his RBI single gave the Jays a 7-6, walk-off win over the Rays.

George Springer also homered for Toronto.

Potentially terrible news, though, was Hyun-jin Ryu leaving the game with pain in his shoulder. Starting pitching is the weak point for this team. They can't afford to lose their Ace.
