Luis Marquez (marque002lui), who should import with only his rookie league stat line from 2006, imports with the 1946 stats of Luis Marquez (marqulu01 marque001lui) in his stats for some reason.
It's weird. I went ahead and imported the former major leaguer (marqulu01) into the free agent pool to see if he had his stats for 1946, but there was no real life stats tab included somehow, plus no stats at all in the other tabs. The fact that I did this while running a fictional league shouldn't have mattered in that regard, so this should be looked into at some point. Last edited by ra24mpa; 07-29-2022 at 03:48 PM. Willis Wyman
While bRef still has an import code for 1884's Willis Wyman as wymanfr01, they have corrected his name. The Bullpen wiki tells the story. OOTP still has it as Frank but his first name should be changed to Willis - the Historical ID remains unchanged.
https://www.baseball-reference.com/p...ymanfr01.shtml "Willis Wyman played 30 games for the Kansas City Cowboys of the Union Association in 1884; he also played two games with the Chicago/Pittsburgh team later that year. He was long listed in the Baseball Encyclopedia as Frank Wyman, as he was confused with a contemporary minor league player who played for the Lynn, MA team in 1884. It was a logical deduction, as at least two other players from that team, Dick Blaisdell and Jim Donnelly also ended up in Kansas City, so theer was obviously a connection between the two clubs. Alas, it could not have been Frank Wyman playing for the Cowboys, as on June 14th, he was listed in the line-up for games played both by Kansas City and by Lynn, at different ends of the country. The mystery was solved in 2018 by SABR researcher Justin McKinney, who identified the major league player as Willis C. Wyman. He was a traveling salesman from Maine who spent a lot of time in Kansas, particularly in Atchison, KS and played for a local club there in 1883. He was a teammate of future major leaguer Turk Burke there, and was recruited by the Cowboys in June, staying with the club until the end of July. His last two games were with the Chicago team on August 7th and 9th, when they were playing in Kansas City, MO and were presumably short of players. That was just before the team moved to Pittsburgh, so it's likely that financial difficulties contributed to their being unable to travel with a full contingent of players. He played for local teams both before and after but not during the time the mysterious Wyman was in the Union Association in 1884, confirming that the two were one and the same person." |

All players who played for the Los Angeles Angels before 1961 when they were minor-league team, are treated as if they were on a MLB team.
See the attached screenshot for Steve Bilko, but be aware this affects ALL players who played on the minor-league Angels. This not only messes up the historical stat rankings, but other things like the calculation of major league service time. |

There are two entries for J.C. Hartman in the historical database when there should be one. See the attached image and notice the slight change in the spelling of the first name.
One ("JC") has a historical minors ID as 'hartma001j--' and is incorrectly listed as Caucasian (he was African). The other ("J.C.") has a historical ID "hartmj_01" and historical minors ID of "hartma002fra". Same guy. Last edited by uruguru; 08-02-2022 at 11:58 PM. |

Stephen Woods Jr played as an eighteen-year-old for the 2014 Albany Great Danes but is getting MLB credit for it. Albany was in the NCAA's America East Conference.
Woods' Historical Minors ID is: woods-003ste Thanks much Last edited by LansdowneSt; 08-12-2022 at 02:58 PM. |

Luis Martinez martin013lui has lahman ID martilu02 incorrectly attached to him when it belongs to martin011lui. One made it to the Show, the other never made it to North America.

Jim Clark vs. Jackie Clark
There are two of the same Jim Smith's (clarkji03) in the game (1971 Cleveland player). I can import him by using the Historical Minors ID of clark-003jam (correct per bRef) or the incorrect code of clark-003jac.
The clark-003jac should be another player that also entered the minor leagues in 1965 (Jackie Clark). Here he is: https://www.baseball-reference.com/r...d=clark-003jac Unfortunately, when you import Jim Clark of the 1971 Indians via his Historical ID of clarkji03, it brings you the Jackie Clark - but with Jim Clark's Cleveland stats and bio info mixed up in him. Screenshot attached. Came up when I was making a facegen for him and noticed the conflicting IDs. |

Eric Stults (stulter01) was born in Plymouth, Indiana, not Plymouth, Mass. Plymouth, Indiana is in the database.

All Pitcher Stamina is below 7
I started a 1980 Cubs season and every single pitcher stamina rating is below 7 in all major and minor leagues for all teams. Please help.
Very few starting pitchers in all the league. https://imgur.com/gallery/VH4FG8S Last edited by Stragama; 09-11-2022 at 03:46 PM. |

Mike Hampton Historical Minors ID check
Need a check on a Historical Minors ID for a facegen. Mike Hampton of the Braves, Astros, Rockies is shown on the OOTP screen in the game. The minors ID in the game though is tied to a 1994-97 minor league Mike Hampton in bRef who never made it past A ball. See bRef overlayed against OOTP23. It's hampto001mic vs. hampto002mic

Sp low stamina
This is the 3rd time I tried to set up an historical 80s game. I keep getting the same results. After I make my usual changes in settings, Starting Pitchers stamina reverts to a seriously low number. I just can't play this game like this. Please fix this?

The first thing the developers will try to do is replicate it. Can you be explicit on the steps and esp. the setting changes that result in this? I realize some of the set-up seems straight-forward but the more info you provide the quicker they can try to replicate it and isolate any issues. Also, is it only 1980 or any 80's year?
Thanks

Will vs. Willie Harris
Will Harris (pitcher) and Willie Harris (OF, 2B) have co-mingled IDs.

This is from v. 22; I haven't bought 23.
I usually play historical games, so I hadn't noticed this before: in the Current Game template, some minor league teams display the wrong city code. I noticed this when looking at Yadiel Rivera; the database had him splitting 2019 between the Marlins and an AAA team called "WS". And I was like "Winston-Salem? Winter Springs? Weren't the Marlins having their AAA team in Jacksonville." Well, I was wrong about that; it was New Orleans. But that's still nothing like "WS". I checked one of Rivera's teammates on the 2019 New Orleans Baby Cakes, Jon Berti. Same thing, "WS" for him, too. I haven't checked any of Rivera's teammates on the Milwaukee AAA affiliate that he was with in 2015-2017, but I doubt he's the only one of the Colorado Springs Sky Sox who has an inexplicable "SA" listed for that team's city code. Colorado Springs is rather different from San Antonio, so…? Thanks in advance. (New Orleans Baby Cakes?? I know the Crescent City has a big gay scene [Tennessee Williams said "there are only three real cities: New York, New Orleans and San Francisco. Everything else is just Cleveland." And he wasn't talking about the restaurants], but still. Naming the team with a slang term for "butt cheeks" seems a bit direct, I'd say…) |

MLB Champion Award Incorrect
Just noticed that a guy who gets traded during the season, gets an award on his profile for MLB champion if the team he was traded from wins the championship.
E.g. Trevor Skjerpen has an award now for MLB Champ even though Rockies did not win the World Series...Yankees did where he was traded from during the season (prior to the WS) |

Rule 5 Draft- Top 100 Prospects
Every time I've gotten deep into a historical sim, I've always noticed each rule 5 draft has several Top #100 prospects in the pool.
Not sure if this is a "bug" or just not factored in realistically to the game. In real life it's incredibly rare for any top 100 guys to not be protected when it comes to the Rule 5. Those are prized prospects for teams... For example, in this last draft Tori Hunter (#77), AJ Pierzynski (#85) and Edgar Renteria (#26) all were picked off of other teams. This is not uncommon though, and I am already coming into year 6 of my historical sim. Last edited by Trav876; 10-03-2022 at 11:32 AM. |
